The Master I voted for Higgins at corner back, admin said you can vote for whoever you like there just giving a few names to help out. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 09/10/2013 12:31:17 1498369 Link 0 |
Well I would urge admin to dismiss any votes for cian o'sullivan at chb or sean cavanagh at wing forward. They played in midfield throught out the league and championship, I would say 90% of the time that is where they were played. They were moved to different positions when it suited their skillset, of course they are going to do well on such occasions. However, they werent left there when they might come under pressure. It is like saying for example donal vaughan can only be judged on the games that suited him, so judge him on the donegal game. TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 09/10/2013 12:53:08 1498384 Link 0 |
Haven't a clue here. Vaughan is a great athlete and brilliant going forward but never took the final by the scruff of the neck when Mayo were crying out for someone with his pace and and power to drive them forward. Brennan was exposed numerous times, Crowley was better on the wing, Harte spent a lot of time in the forwards with McMahon covering and even at that he only lasted 6 minutes of the most important game of Tyrone's year. roundball (Tipperary) - Posts: 2514 - 09/10/2013 12:57:19 1498385 Link 0 |
No stand out centre half backs. I'm voting for Peter Harte Tyrone. Himself and his club mate Ciaran McGinley, in his debut season, were excellent for Tyrone this year. PortInFaithful (Offaly) - Posts: 472 - 09/10/2013 12:58:22 1498388 Link 0 |
Cian O Sullivan did play a certain amount of football in the centre half back position for Dublin and we would have no objection to voters placing him in that number 6 spot. Administrator (None) - Posts: 2275 - 09/10/2013 12:59:06 1498389 Link 0 |

Well if that's the case, there has to be a place for O'Sullivan he was that good all year, so in he goes at no.6! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8785 - 09/10/2013 13:24:58 1498416 Link 0 |

No Master I'd go with McAuley and Sean Cavanagh! O'Sullivan was too good to leave out so since he deputised around that general area he gets my vote! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8785 - 09/10/2013 14:09:31 1498449 Link 0 |

No Master, you couldn't do that with O'Shea, he's not a good enough footballer and is definitely not too good to leave out, I'd squeeze O'Sullivan into any team he's that good a footballer, just my humble opinion :D realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8785 - 09/10/2013 14:56:20 1498501 Link 0 |
