No I meant the Colm Cooper example you gave MesAmis.

If you look at the choices for 1-3 I'd say the overwhelming majority of them were people from Mayo and Dublin picking players from Mayo and Dublin respectively. This can't be a good process no matter what way you slice it or dice it.

1497010 The Roc not in the team what a joke but just to show I don't vote for my own my next vote is for Walshe of Monaghan great year from him.

Hahaha, entirely coincidental that as good as Cooper is, you can't really make a case for him above Walshe or Barrett this year

So to use my 2 examples then Breff - Cluxton and O'Carroll. What's wrong with someone thinking that they may have had good years? Irrespective of where the poster came from. If you had made your complaints when people had being nominating or voting for players from their counties that had had awful years then you'd have a point. However you complained after only 3 positions where none of the nominations or picks were outlandishly biased.

Your process has people voting for players that they don't think are good enough.

No I "complained" at the start when voting for Cluxton, page 2

"My" process has people picking from 4 of the best players in their positions with any potential for home bias removed. do you think in every position all but one player is not good enough?

So it was after the voting for Cluxton that you saw that the Dubs posters were being ridiculously biased?

Dublin and Mayo posters should be entitled to vote for whoever they feel wad the best. Not whoever they feel was the best minus Dublin/Mayo players.

Breff I went for Higgins in the other corner my team has no bias in it whatsoever. Any other county that won the league then walked to a Leinster title then won the all Ireland by beating Cork Kerry and Mayo would have at least 10 players on the all star team but because were Dublin that will never happen.

No, where are you getting this from? Can't understand how I'm getting so much grief for suggesting a fairer way of voting? I used Dublin as an example, I used myself as an example, I used Mayo fans as an example too.

You said that the voting was biased after, or even as, a Cluxton was voted for.

I fail to see how you could see that the whole team was going to be biased at that point. I doubt it would've ended up as 15 Dubs/Mayo as you fear.

Also Breffni you say that looking back on positions 1-3 it was mainly Dub/Mayo posters picking their players.

Dublin and Mayo (All-Ireland finalists) are quite strong in those positions too so it's no surprise that those players got the votes.

Sure we'll see. Still don't see the harm in people voting for their county players. We won't fall out over it anyways.

Whole process is flawed. This is a Player of the YEAR selection yet how many people have seen counties other than their own playing league matches for example and can definitively say that player X in county Y had a great year, on the back of maybe seeing that county playing in one or two championship games? Bit silly really.

I wanted Colin Walshe and Chrissy Barrett as my corner backs but sadly that's not gonna happen. I'm giving it to Barrett, excellent as a defender and showed his attacking ability at a crucial time v Tyrone. However at this rate we'll end up with 5 Mayo backs which will be a bit of a farce. I mean Barrett, Keegan and Boyle are all justifiable selections but Cafferky is a marginal one and Cunniffe is no way an All Star.

Nonsense. You won the League and Leinster fair enough, but you scraped past Mayo who also had a great championship by 1 point. To suggest that you deserve 10 All Stars with Gooch, Cavanagh and 2 or 3 Mayo men is complete BS. Kerry played scintillating football at times, Mayo were very impressive, Monaghan, Tyrone and Cavan all had good individual displays from players.

Ye're not the all conquering force ye think ye are, come back when ye've matched Killkenny's dominance in hurling before ye start asking for 10 All Stars.
