I have heard it all now , AL final compared the champions lge or World cup final , hate to burst your bubble but to the rest of the world GAA is an obscure sport played in a small european country .

agree that there should be a certain amount of kids tickets made available for the finals.
its very unfair that kids attend matches from january to september the same as adults and come the finals are told thanks for that but hard luck we will have a full house so we dont need your custom anymore.

tinrylandman, on three separate occasions this September there'll be over 82000 supporters in Croke Park. I'm sure there are a lot of other sporting organisations that would love that kind of obscurity!!

Personally I don't see a issue over the price of tickets for a all-Ireland final..
I count myself privileged to attend one
Croke park on any all-Ireland final day does not compare to any other so called major sporting events.
Am a slight bit disappointed to hear about the no kids tickets after parents bringing them to probably 15-18 games from January

What I am saying is in the overall scheme of world sport GAA is very small approx one million will watch game on Sunday and again in world terms that is tiny , so to say it is like World cup final is studip,

Its not as big worldwide, no question there, but an 82 000 sellout in a small country like ours is serious going. Not bad for an obscure sport you have to admit.

Someone was comparing it as in ticket prices and the events it was comparable to. An all Ireland ticket can command big money . what point are you trying to make. this conversation has nothing to do with whether people outside Ireland think its an obscure sport or not, so why the need to throw that in.

why should there be any number of kids tickets made available when GAA knows it can sell all tickets for full price. It is not the case that kids are told there custom is not wanted on all Ireland final day.

"obscurity"???? You must have a different meaning to obscurity in your dictionary to me as obscurity means the state of being unknown, inconspicuous, or unimportant and The GAA certainly is not unknown, inconspicuous nor unimportant.

All Ireland finals are biggest games of year and GAA are guaranteed to sell out or virtually sell out Croker and at adult prices for tickets. No kids tickets for final. If kids want to go parents stump up price for full ticket

Different experience completely and Superbowl has so much more to it on the day. A 30+ minute concert with a top artist and the game in American football is much longer. Tickets also will be more expensive in America due to market conditions. Biggest game there more people who wish to attend....

your wrong, it shouldn't be a case of the Gaa know they can get full price for tickets ands that it.
The champions league final last year had 100,ooo requests for a remaining 10,ooo tickets. but 200 adult plus child tickets were made available .
Also they could be bought outside of the clubs.

How am I? That is your opinion.
That is a different organisation.
GAA knows it can sell the tickets full price so why would it look to sell child tickets at a cheaper price.

Can only agree with what others have said. People who go to games consistently through out the year are getting good value. A few years back the GAA reduced prices on certain games but increased All-Ireland final ticket prices. The supporter going to games over the year was saving money.

To be fair you have no problem talking about how other organisations do things when it suits the answer your looking for.

What was the attendance when Clare played Cork in the Gaelic Grounds? 20000?
60% of the Clare support in Croke Park today haven't been at a Clare game all year.
40% probably haven't been at a game in years.
20% could be going to their first game!

Demand is there for AI final tickets, the GAA are right to cash in year after year.

I know wed all pay anything to be there but its an amateur sport, the country is broke. It's the principle of it. 50euro max. 2parents and 2kids 320euro... Joke.

80e for the AI finals is fair enough and when compared to the rubbish usually served up for soccer Internationals at the Aviva is a bargain. Can't believe the Aviva was a sell out on Friday given Traps teams poor record and poor quality football served up!!

Not a joke and because Hurling and Football are amateur means nothing. College sports in America are amateur and look at the money people pay for tickets for that.
The country is not broke, not great financially but not broke.
