All Ireland Final ticket prices..

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I know it's the AI Finals but is 80euro not a bit steep? No family or childrens tickets?

I know it's a different sport and that, but for WC Qualifier tomorrow night it's 35euro for adults, 10 for children and 80 for a family.

I'd pay 100 times more to watch the All-Ireland than to suffer through a Trapatoni-led team playing the style of "football" he coaches.

I will watch it on TV and am, of course, 100% behind the players, but I will never attend another game while he is our manager. There is no value for money there, whereas an All Ireland is an unforgettable experience regardless of the quality of the match itself - and to be fair, it usually is high-quality.

Prices for GAA games are A1, it was 40 for semi, thirty for q/f , 25 for provincial, its mega value fiver for kids up to final. Where would you get it?

We do a lot of complaining but sometimes you have to call a spade a spade.

No I disagree. The All Ireland finals are the GAA's showcase events. No there shouldn't be family or children's tickets for premier events of the GAA year. A world cup qualifier in Soccer is entirely different to an all Ireland final in importance and is priced accordingly.

rugby internationals are generally priced fairly.
Most expensive ticket for Samoa is 35 apart from Premium which is 50, for Australia tickets are €75 for premium and €60 for category 1 stand while for New Zealand game tickets are €95 for premium and €75 for category 1 stand.
Cheapest tickets are €7.50 for Samoa game, €12.50 for Australia and €20 for New Zealand with schoolboy/girl tickets €10 for all games

No need for implying anything about me thank you very much.
I was mainly comparing the All Ireland Final to the Ireland New Zealand game which is one of the big games Ireland can host and we are talking about events in Ireland. Ireland New Zealand is a pinnacle event.
With plenty of organisations you can get into big games for similar prices. Pro12 in Rugby, Top 14 in rugby you can get semi final tickets for €30 and they are big events

I'm sure there are a lot of Mayo and Dublin people who would gladly part with €80 right now if they could get a ticket for the final?? It is dear but there will be no shortage of takers for any of the 82,000 tickets.

€35 is the cheapest adult ticket available. It ranges from €35 (relatively few with worse view) up to €65 for lower tier West or East stand.

The All-Ireland Finals are the only 2 occassions in the year when there are no Family or kids concessions and the association has their 2 annual pay-days.

I've been taking my 13 yr old cub to top quality hurling and football matches all year (and for quite a few years) at a maximum cost for him of 5 euro (no cost at all when it was a no ticket match). I think the ticket pricing structure is fairly much spot on when kids can see the vast majority of our games for next to nothing.

i go regularly to all ireland finals when im lucky enough to get tickets.i consider 80e great value.if you enter stadium at 1pm you get two all ireland finals as well as entertainment between the games etc.the aviva at 35 for one game to sit through a bore fest wouldnt appeal at all.was never there yet.must go to a rugby match soon.

Don't know why any genuine GAA supporter would complain about the price of tickets. Try been from Leitrim or any other Connacht county who travel to London or New York to follow their team, we don't complain about the price of flight, hotels etc. watch the match at home if you have a problem with the price, its simple economics supply, demand and luxury goods!!

€80 is expensive alright but it is the showpiece occasion for both football and hurling. I think it compares quite well to any other big showpiece occasion of it's size.

The only big game in Ireland that is relatively cheap is the FAI Cup Final. €10/€15 but that is done as an incentive whereas there's no need in other sports.

Prices are fair enough but one thing I would tweak is that with it being E80 for the stands,a lower Canal in front few rows or upper corners is not comparable to a good Cusack/Hogan lower middle. Perhaps they should be slightly more expensive and less favourable parts of the ground slightly lower, say 60s, 70s and 90s. Hill at E40 is fair enough. Been there for last few hurling finals and will try get ticket for there over weekend as you pay double at the opposite end for a fixed spot that may not be as good a view.

That's a fair shout actually. Watched last year's drawn match from the lower Canal for 80 quid but was on the Hill for the replay. Cheaper and better view!

They're fine.

Evens out throughout the year the GAA is great value. FWIW terrace tickets are cheaper aren't they? And it's not an annual occurance unless you are from Kerry.
