Well when you keep stating the obvious....

Whats obvious in stating odds? If there was clear favourites for the Championship it would be no big deal, but when Castlerahan are 7/4 with one firm and 7/2 with another, and Ramor 7/4 and 3/1 likewise it just shows how open it is. If your such a genius tell me who is going to win so I can invest my money at such generous odds for certain teams??

If is right

The odds are slightly varying as it is very uncertain as to who will win, obviously the different hope to attract punters with perceived better value that's not unusual
There are 4 favourites or probables each bookie agrees on that

I would imagine a genius couldn't predict injuries, refs decisions, the weather
And the many bounces that the ball will make this far out

So IF I was a genius I wouldn't bet this early

Slightly varying!!? Castlerahan are 7/4 and 7/2! Ha. You must of skipped maths in school. Anyways thanks maybe it is too early to have a bet on the winner. I'll wait till the final. There will be far better value then in a two horse race, when only two (possibly one) of Castlerahan, Ramor, Kingscourt, Mullahoran, Cavan Gaels and Gowna will be left.

Perhaps one bookie has received more bets on a particular team
Maths wasn't my strong suit
Sentiment rather than opinion can drive some punters

Even if he was available I am led to believe that he has a cast either on his hand or leg not sure where so despite the movements of documents delaying things he would not be able to play. I stand corrected.

Talk on the street has it thats its not a happy camp in Terry Coyle so it will be an interesting few weeks. ??

So will the Gaels have any players back that were missing for the Castlerahan game?

Doesn't matter who is back. Kingscourt to win easily.

Mullahoran thrashed Gowna, 4-13 to 0-7. Gowna finished with 13, Mullahoran looked good and could have won by even more as they missed some goal chances and took points on other goal chances but doesn't take away that Gowna were brutal.

Lacken drew with Killygary after extra time. Lacken threw it away in normal time and extra time with Killygary doing just enough to equalise both times.

Gaels are leading Kingscourt 0-8 to 0-7 at start of second half.

have to say im really enjoying these sunday evening double headers down in brefni over the last two weekends. you can enjoy the sunday game and then go down and watch the local talent.
i knew the geals would win last night. when you have won as many titles as the geals recently that builds a serious winning appetite and i just felt that experience of having won so many big games in brefni would get them over the line. i also don't rate kingscourt don't think they are a great side. last year the standard of football was quite poor and the geals were gone at the quarter finals. the title was there to be won for kingscourt. they blow it. now this year we have better teams in ramor and castlerathan and i feel kingscourt are being left behind.
i think mullahoran will be a huge test for the geals. mullahoran are a seasoned experienced team.. very phisical too and this will test some of the young geals boys. if the geals were to come through this i feel they may be hard stopped however the winner of ramor and castlerathan will not be far away. gonna be an interesting few weeks. i feel its between geals and ramor.

Agree with asdfg's post. Ramor or the Gaels. I said earlier the Gaels will be dangerous when the get their players back and Paul O Connor and Chesty came back to good effect Sunday. I would have put Castlerahan in the mix but the way the draw went I would have to rule them out against Ramor especially with Ramor getting their talented minors back to compliment the squad. Ballinagh, Lavey, Ramor and the Gaels the four semi finalists for me.

Very disappointing display from Kingscourt. They looked very sluggish and were far too slow moving the ball. This suited Gaels.
Would someone please tell me what all the roaring and shouting is about from the Gaels management, subs bench and players???
So irritating. Also they are constantly moaning at the referee!
The first game was an endurance test of the most dedicated fan, awful stuff, and a replay!!!

Some of the tackling from the Kingscourt team was bordering assault. The so called tackle on chesty along the far side was very bad and you could hear the reaction fro the whole ground to it. How the ref didnt show a red card is hard to fathom. Dont forget it was the players second attempt having tried the same twenty yards further down the field on the same run.

The Gaels are getting stronger and will be in the final shakesdown. Their dugout is a disgust to listen to and they let down their team every game. It will be a good contest with mullahoran and themselves but I think the Gaels will shade it. Kingscourt were disappointing and their tackling was outrageous. Their county players didn't perform well. Overall it's been an entertaining championship to date with some interesting matches. The standard of football still remains poor.
