Bit premature me thinks. O Connor and Jelly will make a serious full forward line. Other players to come in to from injuries, suspensions, etc. Plus if they scored all they missed would have won comfortably. Thought David Wright was a class act in match as was Dunne. Mackey controlled second half.

The draw is hardly a fix. Mullahoran vs Gowna, gaels vs kingscourt.winners play each other in quarters. Ramor vs castlerahan in quarters. So looking at 2 of top 5 in the semis.

Predictions?

Lacken vs Killygarry
Cavan Gaels vs Kingscourt
Mullahorn vs Gowna
Lavey vs Cuchulainns

Ramor vs Castlerahan
Crosserlough vs Lavey or Cuchulainns
Cavan Gaels or Kingscourt vs Mullahorn or Gowna
Ballinagh vs Lacken or Killygarry

For me it'll be Lacken, Kingscourt, Mullahorn and Lavey in round 3 and Ramor, Lavey, Kingscourt and Ballinagh in the quarter finals.

Lacken vs Killygarry - Lacken
Cavan Gaels vs Kingscourt - Gaels
Mullahorn vs Gowna - Mullahorn
Lavey vs Cuchulainns - Lavey

Ramor vs Castlerahan - Castlerahan
Crosserlough vs Lavey or Cuchulainns - Lavey
Cavan Gaels or Kingscourt vs Mullahorn or Gowna - Gaels
Ballinagh vs Lacken or Killygarry

Lacken vs Killygarry - Lacken
Cavan Gaels vs Kingscourt - Gaels
Mullahorn vs Gowna - Mullahorn
Lavey vs Cuchulainns - Lavey

Ramor vs Castlerahan -Ramor
Crosserlough vs Lavey or Cuchulainns - Crosserlough
Cavan Gaels or Kingscourt vs Mullahorn or Gowna - Kingscourt to win this group If Seannie is back along with Reilly, O'Connor, Smith I would go with the Gaels. Playing the Doc in full forward is not the way to go for sure.
Ballinagh vs Lacken or Killygarry I expect Killygarry to win from this.

Why were the winners not kept apart from the losers in The Quarter Final Draw?

Ramor and Castlerahan should be rewarded for winning their games by playing a team from the losers group you should not have winners playing each other at this stage

Co Board got champ all wrong again.

lacken playing Geals twice

lavey might playing crosserlough again.

Top two teams Ramor & Castlerahan meeting at this stage.

Nobody could actually tell you the layout??

Best games will end up being the Relegation battle as usual..

Open Draw in the Quarter Finals was made clear to all Clubs when the Championship Structures were agreed (by all clubs) earlier in the year and no one had a problem with it then. The fact that no one paid attention to the structures until now is hardly the County Board's fault.

"Best games will end up being the Relegation battle as usual.." - Hahahaha, that has hardly anything to do with Denn in the Relegation battle has it? Can't believe you actually said that.

Denn will be in relegation trouble untill next batch of players mature. You want to see championship spirit go to our games.I was pointing out the flaws in the Senior championship structure. Best teams should be seeded or regional games create local derbys , this system has no basis.. I don t care where or when it was voted in. Best competitions in all sports are seeded. Ours should be the same.

Was at relegation final crosserlough/ballinagh game 3 or 4 years ago in mullahorn rem when mullahorn could nt handle the crowd but did financilly did very well out of it..ye that day. Best game of football that year & have nt been to better since.

Top 5 teams in the betting are Castlerahan, Ramor, Cavan Gaels, Kingscourt and Mullahoran all of these are in 2 quarter finals 2 of these will survive to semi final stage.
Quarter Finals could be better than Semi Finals or Final

On the upside there are games to look forward to this weekend which in my opinion is an improvement on last year when the last round before Quarters had a lot of dead rubbers. You could argue that Round2 Winners V Back Door Winners would have made for more rounded Quarter Finals than the open draw. The risk for the County Board is that the Senior Final might be one sided. At the end of the day the best team will win which ultimately is all that matters.

It would appear Cuchullians, Layey Ballinagh and C'lough ain't fancied

Is that what the varying opinions are suggesting
