It will be a tough local derby with Crosserlough and Ballinagh.did Bernard Morris train ballinagh at some point or am I mistaken in this?
Big test for castlerahan to try and beat the Gaels for a second time in the championship. This had been the most interesting championship in the last decade.

Just seen Ballinagh beat Lacken, fair play to them. Id fancy them to beat Crosserlough or Castlerahan in the semi, probably be unlucky and draw the Gaels and that would be to tough an assignment. Why wasnt Anthony Gaynor playing?

I was wondering that myself, why wasn't he playing? He'd add that extra bit of bite to the Ballinagh team.

I can't see any result other then a Ballinagh win. Lacken couldn't beat Killygarry in 120 minutes of football. Ballinagh by 4

You got it spot on well done, Ballinagh V Crosserlough now how would you call this Senior team versus an Intermediate team.

Well the gaels have brought it to a new level I wonder however how happy are those that slogged all winter only to be shoved into the wilderness to facilitate those that moved camp and others that went away to other countries,
Chesty was sent off Friday night but in fairness to him the ref got this badly wrong he sent the wrong number 6 off so I wonder what happens now.

Ballinagh V Crosserlough I think this will be where Crosserlough's journey ends, they haven't yet daced a side of Ballinagh#s caliber, Ballinagh by 5 or 6.

Didn't chesty get 2 yellows? So there will be no suspension? As for the game, my heart says Castlerahan but my head says the Gaels. Its a bit like Dublin v Mayo today with the Gaels being the dubs and Castlerahan being Mayo, most naturals want to see Castlerahan winning but if i had to call it id say Gaels by 3

Depending on what happened over the year other factors come into play.
I expect they the gales will appeal it anyway to be on the safe side as they have to play at least two more games to win this senior title.

Gaels will win the championship now., and in fairness you have to say they will deserve it if they do, having come through the most lop sided draw ever. All 5 teams capable of winning it ended up on the same side and Gaels will have had to knock out 3 of them to just to reach the final.
On the other side Ballinagh or Crosserlough will make the final without meeting a decent team on the way.

Now that the exile is back it looks like odds on or is it. ??????????????

As for the draw you the gales made heavy weather of your progress against bad teams. Just in case you are implying that the draw was rigged its how the cookie crumbled. Cavan Gaels V Mullahorn on the night the team that took their chances won. Chesty's run from his own 35 meter area and travelled the full length of the pitch and scored just amassed me he should have not got beyond the halfway line.
Reminds me of Cavan V Kildare in the qualifiers when they allowed a player run the length of the pitch and they leading by two points with time all but up to set up the winning goal. The guilty man was a gales man Anthony Forde for all he had to do was drag him to the ground he would have got a yellow card but Kildare at most would have only got a point. I think you call it tactical fouling or cynical fouling either way as Mulligan said stop at all costs if a goal is going to be the end result.

I am not sure the Gaels will have an easy match against Castlerahan a strong referee is required so I expect Joe will get it for all this shirt pulling has got out of hand.
With respect to Crosserlough and Ballinagh the winners will come from the other draw.
Take away the exile and chesty you would be in trouble.

Gaels have a big (australian) surprise for the semi final. Heard this from top bras in Breffni. I think there is a bit of paper work to go through before Friday. EYEBALL
Possibly Sean O Roinn may be able to confirm this as he would have even better links than myself.

Heard last night they are going to register him in time for their simi final match but I have heard nothing to be honest.

Sadly if this is true it will destroy many potential players who have slogged all winter only to be dropped for exiles. What value a senior county medal ??? should they go on and win it.
Prediction from me is that Castlerahan will turn them over been together all year and a lot of them are playing out of their skin. Easy for the exile Dunne and Lyng to play together for they know each other but the Aussie well different story here it may be the rock they perished on ????

Sean o Rinn your nit pickin about an"exile" and an "Australian " knows no bounds . What business is it of yours who they register or pick? When do you start to be so concerned about the players that slogged it all winter at the Gaels club? It was a know fact months ago the Seanie was on his way back so there was really no suprise to see him selected for the Mullahoran game with so many forwards unavailable through one reason or another. No as regards the Australlian I will leave you to sumise what will happen there but knowing and trusting Joe O Connor as I do I can tell you that any decisions made will be in the best interests of Cavan Gaels as a club. Most lads there have plenty of county championship medals be it as a player or part of the panel so one more won't make a difference . I myself believe the Gaels are in transition this year using a blend of big experience with younger lads . This can be seen in the positioning of Collins and Leddy. I don't believe they expect to win the championship this year but in saying that they are in a Semi final although they haven't played well yet. If they improve 50% on the Mullahorn game well they will progress. SJ is a big bonus and a return of 1-1 in his first championship game was satisfactory. Castlerahan to me look the best team playing this year and they can get rewarded for their work at underage this past few years. Seemingly they have taken a leaf out of the Gaels underage book and fair play to them. Crosserlough too have been out of the limelight far too long . When Cavan were Ulsters kingpins in the 60s Crosserlough were winning 7 in a row so it would be great to see them back in a county final. All in all any of the four can win it now. Hopefully we will see 3 good games of good open football , no pulling and dragging and no sending offs . May the best team win.. PS.. Sean o Rinn , focus your energy on your own club and let the Gaels look after their club because your tuppence worth of sniping about the Gaels doesn't count

Dirtybag, In fairness to Seanoroinn he is entitled to his opinion on the gaels whether it is positive or negative.Thats what the forum is all about and although I hugely admire what the Gaels have done over the years with their huge success I also enjoy hearing other opinons like seans. Eyeball
