Ulster Comments are Sick

Why are the Ulster brethren so determined to bring politics in to this? It's a continuing theme right throughout the thread.

I need look no further than your last post

"Thats one small piece of the hatred against northern Nationalists and gaels ". Seriously, what the hell is that all about? There is worse than you, but it's the kind of crap that is being continually brought up.

The last thing on the interweb that anyone should pay attention to are comments on yt videos. Look at the comments on hurling videos that are up there, nasty hateful anti Irish/Gaelic remarks abound, but its nothing anyone should take seriously. One bored nerd can do alot of damage on the internet from the comfort of his living room, going from site to site, from video to video ("hmm, thats the Irish wound up, now to go after the Japanese, after I've deposited some anti Belgian remarks in the comments section of this video of a toddler playing darts in Liege"). In short, don't take any of this crap to heart, its always just a handful of people writing behind the nastiness, for no other reasons than boredom, and its easy to do. And these people are never what they claim to be, or are from where they claim to be from.

His credibility has long been dismantled gatekeeper, mostly by his fellow Meath posters, much to their credit I add.

Well that's a lie. Majority of meath posters wanted RD back. As he is very topical and love him or hate him always creates a good debate. Now off top of my head I can think of 3 or 4 that might not be too happy to see him back but that's just internal squabbles. So as a meath poster who does not agree with all he says. Particularly his digs at kildare. I'm very happy he is back. This place was a lesser place without him.

I have never understood why it annoys some people when Ulster people support other ulster counties after their own team are knocked out. I enjoyed watching tyrone, armagh & donegal win a total of 5 all-irelands in the last decade. Not because I could claim any joy out of it but because up until 2002 these same 3 counties had ammased a total of 1 all-ireland between them in 115 odd years of trying! (and that came in 92 FFS!)

It gave hope to the likes of Monaghan, fermanagh, derry, Down & Antrim to see them win. Ulster has never had that much success in the all-ireland so its good to see it finally go our way. Am I right in thinking Cavan is the most successful with a total of 5 all-irelands? I hope that explains why some people cheer for other ulster teams.

The victims theme been played by the nothern posters is immature and childish. I will exclude Derry and down from that. As I have said before these counties know how to conduct themselves in a manner befitting the game. 91 was the hardest defeat I ever endured but the down fans were class. Looks like Tyrone and Donegal could learn from them.

There is no political agenda, no rubbish like what's being brought up. There's a rivalry, but both sides are as good and as bad as each other.

When Kerry lost to Tyrone, I thought sine took their defeats badly. I thought some Tyrone people weren't very good in victory. Both as bad as each other, but I guarantee that as many on both sides were gracious. And that's the same between any teams in any sport. Grow up if you think otherwise.

Jaxknoff. Are you seriously comparing Gerry Adams to James Bond? After I got up from the floor laughing I just have to ask you are taking the mick aren't your u. Or are you the guy outside Croke park in the Celtic Jersey handin out leaflets about not opening it up to foreign sports?
You do know James Bond is a fictional British spy? Charged with catching terrorist. Or is this they reason for you're confusion? Anyway thanks for the laugh it was much needed. Comedy gold.

Hmmm, I don't think he's saying anything genuinely. There's another poster on the site, who appears to have no interest in Gaelic Games, just an interest in winding up GAA followers and raining on everyone's parade. I could be wrong, but I'd imagine a Jacknoff type persona would be an obvious alter-ego for such a poster. I'm not sure if its comedy gold, David Sedaris it ain't, but I guess it passes the time for some. Sad

@the gate keeper. Yep im back. Im standing up for the descent football folk. For me to remain gone would onlye encourage people to believe that you can cheat to get your goals or to be more precise stop other's getting goals. The south says no.

1455628 just like Meath this year against Tyrone and Cavan.
Meath will have to go back their traditional snide, dirty ways if they are to stop themselves remaining a laughing stock.

Well that's it. Surely this proves the anti meath/leinster bias spouted by northern/ulster counties and their friends in the mediiaa ?
Where are my leinster brothers and sisters to defend meath their fellow leinster county against this sick abuse? Come on dublin kildare wicklow carlow westmeath louth. We need to stick together to beat this bigoted view.

Now as anyone with a ounce of cop on will know. Not one of them counties posters gives two hoots what's said about meath and nor should they. Just like the ulster teams need to grow a pair and realise we don't care. Politics is just that politics. But one million people voted for our president and enda kenny has the largest majority ever. Its called democracy and is more palatable than what you are proposing.
In meath we wil not be jacknoff to dubs success if they win sam. We could not give a fiddlers. We stand on our own two feet just like every other county within the province and don't get off on some other leinster county winning something just cause our own is not good enough. You are painting cavan folk in a very bad light. As petty and deluded wannabes. Grow a pair and concentrate on cavan. As for anti ulster? Perhaps its anti ulster style of football that most people have? Can we not have that and be pro ulster? Or is that too much for some of you with tiny sectarian minds to understand?

What a silly thread....

Some of the stuff I read on here by guys from up the top part....stretching east to west then down a bit.....to around Down. Not in the middle just up a bit from that and then to the top of the country.

Some of those comments have been appalling guys.

But what would I know Im only a Jackeen (stop calling me that it hurts)

I've seen that video and read some of the bile attached to it. But as another poster said a lot of people on youtube have found a hobby out of trolling through video's looking for a response. I think that much is clear and very much true. But i'll not profess to be as naive to think certain people don't hold those views. They do, and some people down here hold serious resentment for all things northern. But i can tell you through strong family links that the same view towards southern people exist in the north. But the question is are the views prevalent or just held by a small minority of troubled souls? I think its very much the latter and in general most people have more important things to think about.

If your objective is to state such view exist, then i will not disagree with you, they do exist, but if you or another should try to state that they are held by the majority of people down here then i would suggest in terms of this topic you are delusional and as i've said paranoid. I'd also like to state i'm calling your views delusional and paranoid, not you, i've no intention of making any debate on here personal.

The issue regarding media bias is much more complex and its very hard to sum up in a paragraph!

Martin Sludden made a mistake and its irrelevant which county he came from.I'm countering this nonsense you boys are spewing about integrity and honesty as if your players are angels. Why didn't Sheridan say that it wasn't played over the line and be honest about it then if yez are so honest and decent fellas.
