Gormley should win on appeal but the whole problem is impacting Tyrone in exactly the way some would want.

Mayo are preparing for a Football match but Tyrone
are busy preparing for an appeals process and doing statistics for media release.

If there were no appeals Tyrone should be focusing on how to stop Aidan O Shea - the best midfielder in the game - and Cillian O Connor one of the best scoring forwards and freetakers in the game.

tyroneed, well the issue with that is, they way they chose to stop a main guy in their last game is the reason they are preparing for an appeals process. Maybe some self-assessment as to why they are in this position is the way to go?

Really fail to see what all the fuss is with O'Shea. Sort of a Ciaran Wheelan type player. Undeniably a good fielder but I think Tyrone ,as they invariably did with Wheelan will be to gobble up second or third phase. O'Shea had a right good game against Donegal, but he's a marked man now. We'll really see what he's made of.

gaelantrim, in fairness, do you not think he was a marked man against donegal too? They had ahold of his hand and he was catching the ball one handed. Couldnt the same be said of mayo stopping sean cavanagh? It isnt that easy, both will have a big say on the game.

The closer the game comes the more I think that Mayo will win this game well.
Mayo have a much stronger team and I do think they will expose the likes of Gormley at the back as he was against Kerry last year.

I dont think they will allow Sean Cavanagh to attack and hurt them like he has other teams this year (yes I do expect some cynical play from Mayo in this respect) and after that I dont think Tyrone will have enough firepower unless Stephen O Neill has the game of his life

Too true gaelantrim,he is undoubtedly a great fielder but he has definitely showed his hand now with a great performance against a tired Donegal mid field.That might be his undoing for 2 reasons,it is going to be almost impossible for him personally to repeat that again and because he will simply not get the space to do that again.Man marking was simply non existent for him in Donegal game and you can be sure that won't be the case again.

To be fair that was only a 4th round qualifer i think as we met wexford in the semi final that yea its easy to mix them up when that tyrone team spoiled us with that many semi finals etc :)
