Mayo V Tyrone

Back to footballing questions. Will Higgins really play Centre Half Forward? Brave move to move your best defender out of defence in a big game. Supposedly to benefit from his ball carrying skills.

Im sure Aidan Oshea will mark Kavanagh. There is no other match on the pitch for either player.
AS for your analysis of the good of football, I think we should be all grown up about who pulls who in games. Every team is at it at some level, there are no saints out there.. Be it Monaghan, Mayo, Donegal or the field.

Even if they pick each other up for the throw in, cavanagh wont be picking up o'shea in the game, he doesnt play as a midfielder for a start, he makes runs off the side, away from o'shea operates. Plus, tyrone will have a plan involving the likes of gormley and mattie donnelly for o'shea.

I could see Conor Clarke been taken out from Full back to mark O'Shea. He played around the middle against Monaghan and to be fair there's no bigger man for the job than Clarke! Beast of a man!!

"Grown up" say's the boy who's Manager and journey man selector, starts crying 6 DAY'S after a defeat to us, about your player been nearly killed in a tackle, yet the same player could play 2 weeks later!!!!!!!

If it was Murphy or McFadden pulled down from scoring a goal, how grown up would you be about it? are you happy for team's and players to get away with this crap?

Thats fair enough, I dont disagree that there was too much made of a bad tackle in that game. I wouldnt be happy if any of our forwards got the pulling down treatment but it would be better than being carried off with concussion. I think that there is a large degree of borderline fouling and beyond that more than Tyrone are doing, and that is what I mean about being grown up about it.

sam09, no matter who it is, they wont try to compete with him in the air. It will just be a spoiling job.
Also, I think people are concentrating too much on aidan o'shea. You should be just as concerned with the likes of kevin mcloughlin who in my opinion will have aa big a say in how the game will pan out.

the master, your probably right. Although id say Tyrone will be hitting short kickouts to negate O'Shea's influence. At the risk of sounding bias, Mickey Harte is a tactical genius so Im sure whatever plan he comes up with we wont be far away come Sunday. Best of luck

I have a sneaking feeling that Sean Cavanagh is going to get a red card in this match and it will not be justified.

Did I mention that this is going to be a glorified training session , 10/12 points plus, easy stuff,no match, skill speed intensity like never seen before.Tyrone will think its a train that's hit them.

51 long ago, this is going to be Mayo's toughest game of the year, and we will need to be at our very best to beat them. No idea why you insist on spouting the same guff in Hogan Stand in every thread, no real Mayo supporter thinks the way you do.

First fifteen/twenty mins will tell a lot, one thing for certain is Tyrone wont roll over easily and will bring and intensity that Mayo have not come even close to facing this year so far.

I HATE the scitter that the like of 51longago and others on here come out with. I should know better by responding but for FFS!! I personally have NEVER met a Mayo fan like him (Apart from teenagers and ones under the influence). Anyway, come on both Mayo teams tomorrow. I hope they are both great games.... remembered for great football, 2 Mayo victories and nothing else. Good luck to Tyrone and Monaghan, but I will roar myself hoarse for MY county. Maigh eo Abu!!

Please tell me there is no truth in the rumour surfacing this afternoon that AoS has a fracture in his hand.

So because I predict a big margin victory for Mayo,It makes me less of a mayo supporter somehow. I wonder who will be back for the first FBD game if the unthinkable happened tomorrow ,I'll be ther will you and your kind though or would you be the one throwing your flag to the ground muttering never again?
