@MlCollins

"No Kerry player ever kicked a player on the ground"

You obviously forgot the kick in the ribs that Tomás O' Sé gave to Canty whilst he was lying on the ground in the 2009 final
You obviously forgot the dropped knee in to the back of the neck that Darragh gave to Sean Cavanagh whilse he was lying on the ground in 2008 final.
You obviously forgot the stamp that Tommy Griffin did on Colm O'Neill whilse he was lying on the ground in 2010 Munster final

Ignorance is indeed bliss, and indeed a way of life with you......boy.

Regarding that KICK by thomas on canty it was not intentional ,like paul o connell on kearney in the rugby but sure allow your narrow little mind to see it as so, it was an discriminate attempt to kick the ball unlike pierce o neills discriminate kick on eoin o gara in a league game and got off scott free but what else is new ye are used to getting off scott free or getting away with---- LOL.

Please dont let ignorance get in the way of truth, thomas did not discriminately kick out at canty, look at the video evidence like wise tommy did not aim to hurt o neill, it was his motion that carried him through, look at the video, i can't remember darraghs indiscretion but like i said before every team have these guys but what pierce o neill did you wouldn't do to a dog.

Mlcollins, are you that very sad Mad Micko fella, or whatever name he goes by ,on the Kerry GAA forum who spends his time making 4 minute long videos replaying the very same single incident involving a Cork player?

Ball was long, long gone when Tomas O Sé kicked Canty on the ground
And the "momentum" excuse for the stamp by Tommy Griffin?

LOL, it's the way ye tell them in Kerry.

NO team are cynical when compared to Kerry, kingdomboy. Kerry are the benchmark, embodiment and very essence of cynicism. They always keep their best cynical acts for teams they are threatened by, so I await what dirty strokes they have in store for Dublin.

Having watched Kerry dispatch a tough Cavan outfit with relative ease by half time, I can't help but think their is an ambush waiting for the Dub's in the semi final. Cavan's resurgence in the 2nd half, was really only tolerated as Kerry rightly felt they had the game done and dusted at half time.

Dublin under Jim Gavin have switched to playing a more open and attacking style of football this season. When it comes to playing open and attacking football, one team reigns supreme. Yes I refer to Kerry.

Kerry are really under the radar this year, i could see them cause a shock.

RE The thread title.

Does anyone watch AI gold on TG4?

I was watching a Dublin v Kerry game from yesteryear, when to my surprise, after a few minutes there was the three Kerry HF line in their own 45. Hardly a footpass in sight. And the man clearing the ball out from defense? None other than Pat "puke football" Spillane. I'm always amazed at how much hand-passing and mass defense style of play that that great Kerry team played when I watch them back.

Kerry are what they are, and always have been. A seriously talented group of players backed by massive tradition, with a monster desire to do whatever needs to be done to win.

But purists? No. And they never have been. They're mostly very efficient, and on occasion, breathtakingly brilliant. But they're no paragons of all out football, they never have been, they would never have won so much if they had been because they wouldn't have adapted as consistently well as they do if the stuck to the one style of play.

They play the game in whatever way to suit whatever needs to be done to win the game, if that means cynicism, excess hand-passing then whatever. But when they have space, they do, and always have, play arguably the most attractive football in the country, only Mayo and Dublin have the same sense of attacking style in my opinion, Cork at their very best sometimes as well.

Theres no question that Kerry are well versed in the dark arts, but rather than revel in it I think that anyone who truly loves gaelic football should see it as a tragedy.
No county in the country loves playing open football more than Kerry, so when theyre put into a postion where they are resorting to these tactics you know the game is in trouble.
Its a race to the bottom, we all know who fired the starting pistol (and it wasn't Kerry).

Kerry have often been criticised for being 'way behind the rest'. I think it was Martin McHugh who said last year they were 10 years behind Donegal, and Brollu had made the exact same statement in 2003 in relation to Kerry in comparison to Tyrone. Actually, Kerry have ALWAYS adapted to the changing game better than anyone else. The game changed a lot in 2002 or 2003 when Tyrone ad Armagh won their All-Ireland, and Joe Brolly then came out with the 'ten years behind the rest line'. Who has won the most All-Ireland since then? Kerry. And they used the blanket defence very well, and played very cynically.

Before the line is being used again in 2023 when Fermanagh walk all over Kerry in an All-Ireland quarter-final, remember that there's no flies on Kerry. They adapt extremely well. You've been warned!

Keyser cork are every bit as cynical as Kerry and every other county ( shields clearing the ball off the ground against Dublin when the game was in the melting pot). and at the start of the 2012 championship Marty morrisey asked a few pundits who they thought would win Sam and Martin mchugh said he hopes Kerry win the allireland for the good of the game, and Martin mchugh hates Kerry.

The Kerry team of 2000-2009 were an exceptional bunch of players, which is why they adapted so well. They already had the hardware in place, and just needed to update the software so to speak.

Kerry are unique in many ways, as they have won so many All Ireland's in the last 40 years. Most other counties aim to win an All Ireland, and once they achieve it they feel like there overall goal has been achieved.
This is why so many teams fail to win back to back All Ireland titles, as their overall goal is simply to try and win an All Ireland title. They win it, and their belly is full.

Kerry are expected to win an All Ireland almost every year, so their overall team goal is little more complex than other teams. They aim to win All Ireland's constantly, and this makes them that bit stronger when it comes to keeping the hunger a year on from winning that title.

The same can be said of Kilkenny's great hurling side, their goal was to keep winning, rather than to merely win a single All Ireland.
When men in your home county have 2 or 3 All Ireland medals to their name, you would want 4 or 5. In Kilkenny you have men with 8 or 9 All Ireland titles!
Winning a single All Ireland against that backdrop of multiple All Ireland's won't be enough to quench the hunger of players in these counties. A lot of it has to do with the mentality of the county you live in, and what has gone before you.

Alot of disrespect being shown to Kerry football , while you may pick holes at individual games and indeed instances over years , a counties legacy must be judged over more than that , firstly achievements both provincial and AI , STYLE , individual brilliance , this has nothing to do with fan,s you can like or dislike as much as your like .
Now have Kerry achieved = Yes
Produced brilliant players = too many to mention
Style = unequivocally Yes , last week not withstanding , they've played for 40 years that I know of mainly with a panache .

They are the when you measure success who you measure yourself against , lord knows as a Dub its been hard to take and watch , but its also undeniable .
