Kerry are the purists of the game

Mickey Ned is 100% right. This foul play and cynical stuff needs to be stopped. There is no place for rugby tackles in the game today. Why can't we all play the game like kerry do in this picture

Watching kerry yesterday was like watching paint dry. At least when the ulster sides do it its with intensity. You are fooling no one with this purist crap. Your as bad or should i say good as the rest at it

That picture show Paul Galvin being dragged down the field by a Cavan man, should have been a free to Kerry. We are the kings of football and always will be lads, never forget that.

Two teams left that play good Gaelic football, Dublin and Mayo.

I thought the blanket defence (15 players in there own half) wouldn't be tolerated by Kerry supporters????

Kings of loving yourseslfs id say. Lisenting to kerry supporters behind be yesterday was painfull. On the reality side what i saw yesterday when the final few old heads retire kerry have a very bleak future ahead. Nothing coming through

Tongue in cheek from the OP, did anyone see the highlights from last years all Ireland shown on TV3 before the Mayo Donegal match yesterday, they highlighted at least a half a dozen cynical fouls from Mayo and they're not a northern team and some of those tackles were shocking.

Well done GotMilk, a very sarcastic thread, perhaps we can all only aspire to play football to the high level of Fermanagh, i would say glass houses etc, but ht would be saying we are at your standard when clearly that isnt the case! Nice try Milkman, move on!

It won't be and Fitz will get heavy slating this week for the muck Kerry produced in the second half.

P.s. If you need a ticket for the Final let me know ;)

In excerpts quoted in today's Sunday Independent, the former Sydney Swan Australian Rules player reveals: 'My theory was that I really wanted to set the tone for our side. We wanted Cork to know that we were a totally different animal to the one they'd faced three months earlier.

'As we got to our positions, I looked across at (Paul) Galvin, who nodded, and then positioned myself on the line ready to race in when the referee put the ball in the air. My eyes were almost rolling around in the back of my head. I was like a raging bull.'

He says he 'timed it right' and caught Murphy 'perfectly on the chin'.

According to Kenneally, his message was: 'Cop that. It's different this time, boys.'

Now now lios tuthail no need to be bitter...after all you do spend a considerable amount of you're time in Fermanagh. It's not a dig at Kerry it's a dig at those who have the holier than thou attitude about northern teams.

PS why would a kerry man be worried about the fermanagh championship?

its a bit rich coming from mickey ned considering his own goalkeeper pulled down a tyrone player in extra time, it happens in football, it always has, and yes its not nice to see but the game is about winning not playing well, there is no awards given out for doing the moral right but medals and trophies are given out for making decisions that are best for the team which is what sean cavanagh and the kerry goalkeeper did

Every action has a reaction lads , northern teams bar down brought in the blanket defence because they couldn't play football with the big boys , so we had to change the way we play a little to counter the puke football, and I agree that Dublin and mayo are playing better football then us. Two great young teams that play great football.

Declan OSullivan got yellow yesterday for a rugby style challenge and not a word said about it. And sure didn't he feign injury last year and smile from the ground as he got a fellow Gael booked incorrectly. There's another name for that I think. And while I'm on, congrats to Tyrone minors. Gettin another one over the Kingdom. Hard to bate.

No need to be bitter? says the guy starting a thread clearly having a dig at Kerry, Mickey Ned says this and then show the image, im sure if Galvin 'rugby tackled' the cavan player, god knows it would have been highlighted often on tv, esp BBC2, could BBC2 be any more bias if they tried! Well its there to be seen the constant fouling etc from Tyrone in particular over the past two matches, hence the shocking outburst from Brolly! Lets face it if once the rules are in place to allow free flowing games with lesser frees the more skilled teams will flourish!

I see you dug deep (2011) to find that comment, well researched, im under no illusions as to you knowing who i am, so thats that settled.
