I know them well enough Seamus.I was being a bit sarcastic when I questioned O'Shea not being banned because of his sending off against Donegal. Greengrass responded with courtesy and I saw no need to rebuke him. Also,I know good musicians who can't read music very well so not knowing the inner workings of the CCCC and the appeals procedures means very little to me to honest. Your caps button is stuck. Welcome to Hoganstand as I've not seen you here before.

Greengrass agree with what you said totally except Slow Motion. Things will look different in slow motion. Anything will look more premeditated in slow motion because it takes longer. To me it is very much a split second push and that shows up in real time.

Seanie - well unearthed. Two points about Brolly in the clip. Firstly very confident in front of camera for someone starting out, so is well suited to TV. Secondly not as clairvoyant as he would like... in 2002 didn't think this Tyrone team will ever win anything, too many small players.

To be fair to Dessie Dolan, he plays at the wrong end of the field to have to pull a player down to prevent a goal chance. I read Brolly's article on Sunday, and some of it was cringe worthy.

Who has Dessie Dolan ever pulled down? Brolly gets more ridiculous every time he opens his mouth now.Why did he not ask "Who has Finian Hanley,Daniel Goulding or Paul Galvin or a plethora of other players ever pulled down"? All such incidents are there to be seen for anybody who wants to see them except those who are even more myopic than Brolly himself.

It's sad to see Ulster posters put their greatest cheerleader to the sword.
Et tu Tyrone?

It would seem you are right Brend, its astonishing that one man can direct so much vitriol at certain players and their teams and not only be allowed to do it unhindered on national tv but also that he has such a receptive and gullible audience to dish it out to.

Ridiculous to be honest whats happening on this forum.Even that last post was edited Brend. It would seem that Tyrone posters are not allowed to put forth the notion that Joe Brolly might not like Tyrone football.Don't know why to be honest. This probably won't get posted either..............we will see.

Yet more analysis refuting the nonsense. Maybe the apologies will start flooding in. I won't hold my breath though.

P.s. - Whose highest offender of the last 4?

Yes, I read that Independent article. Amazing how many subsequent posters to it appear willing to brush the irrefutable evidence aside because it doesn't sit comfortably with their chosen view of denigrating Tyrone, come what may. Staggering really. One interesting point, I think, is that Kerry are shown to foul heavily in a cultural way, no matter whether or not their games are close matches or not. Now that's as close evidence to systematic/cynical fouling as I have yet seen.

It isnt irrefutable evidence though, it is actually highly spurious. The reaity is the most cynical play is the things that dont get caught, therefore counting the ones that do, and lumping in every type of foul on top of that is far from reliable. For innstace, sean cavanagh has this thing where he grabs a guys hand and dives to win a free. He does it often and has it down to a t. Obviously that totally skews the one and only metric breheny is using, but hey, why bother considering that?

ye tyrone being the most fouled team has a large amount to do with 'going down easily,'and thats being kind to them. and im not saying they are the only ones doing it, but it is frustrating to see a class player like cavanagh knowing that if he goes down a free will be awarded.

I agree, the more physical teams seem to go down like they were shot at any tackle. Good examples are the Down Mayo and even Down Donegal matches of last season!
And the high profile player seems to milk it, too

Great interview here in Garvaghey of DJ Carey touching on many things including Sean Cavanagh. You'd have to be impressed with DJ and take on board his considered opinion and great enthusiasm for GAA.

Humility and integrity ? You are having a laugh. There a lot of holes in that article. As one contributor stated Breheny doesn't provide the stats for the average number of fouls permitted per game. That is the real test of where teams stand relative to each other. If it transpires that there is only a free or so in the difference then the whole article falls.I wonder why he hasn't done it.His explanation as to why Tyrone's average number of yellow cards per game is 2.5 times that of Mayo's is laughable. The fact that Tyrone have had more men sent off than any other team has to be seen in the light of the fact that Tyrone have played more games than anyone else.
