Monaghan 1-14 Tyrone 0-12 Darren Hughes (Will put Cavanagh on the back foot and weigh in with a couple of points of his own) Dublin 2-11 Cork 1-11 Ciaran Kilkenny (Would expect more good link-up play and at least a couple of scores from play) Donegal 0-13 Mayo 0-11 Neil Gallagher (Donegal's fortunes could boil down to the performance of the big man in midfield) Kerry 1-12 Cavan 0-12 Colm Cooper (Will get the vital scores to nick this one)

1448019 Dublin Vs Cork - Winner: Cork
If Meath can clean Dublin out around the middle then I fully expect Cork to do the same. Cork backs are too tight and seasoned to give away silly scores so the combination of these two factors will mean Dublin will come up short.
Kerry vs Cavan - Winner: Kerry
I think Kerry will win Sam this year. Finally have midfield sorted since D O'Se left the scene and the switch of Gooch and Declan O'S has breathed new life into the attack.
Tyrone vs Monaghan - Winner: Monaghan
Tyrone just got over the line against poor enough Kildare, Meath and Roscommon teams and if Monaghan can come close to the Ulster final performance they will power over the line. This is the hardest game to call.
Mayo vs Donegal - Winner: Donegal
Very confident of a Donegal win. Mayo game last year was our easiest in the championship and I think they are a very overrated side, although we are well off the pace of this time last year. Big open spaces of Croker will finally take the shackles off McBrearty, McFadden and Murphy to put up big scores.
You're right, this Mayo team is the most overrated team in history. 3 provincial titles/beating champs two years on the trot, holding div 1 status for years , players like Cillian /Andy /o se's/ Dillon/Mg Loughlin/ poor sort, Higgans and Boyle ahh they're pure muck , pure fluke's is what this team is based on. Sure how could it be any other way, unlike Donegal we're not a footballing county , we're just happy to be on the same field as ye.
Sure we never even won a provincial title till 1972 never mind 3 all Irelands by then ........hang on

would that be as big a mis-match as the Mayo v Galway game in the first round. Image playing your biggest rivals and not been able to raise your game losing Galway 0-11 Mayo 4-16 at home. I don't know why any of your supporter would ever attend a game again after that slaughtering. sure London put up a better show in Mayo!
----
It'll be an almost bigger mismatch than Galway - Mayo in May and thats saying something!

Easiest game of the championship .......
Don't think we had any easy games last year and the final was anything but easy.
As for being very confident I'll have some of what you're smoking

1447932 Cork to beat Dublin. Donegal will probably go to town on Mayo and our neighbours can then quieten down for another year. Tyrone to have too much for Monaghan and Cavan/Kerry is the mismatch of the weekend. In fact Cavan folk shouldn't even bother coming down, then again, its a day out for average Cavan man's family and we all know they don't see many of them :-)
You obviously have a nasty anti Cavan bias about you. What did Cavan people ever do to you?? Ahsure man we will bring a hell of a lot more to Croker than your Tribe ever will. Were you there last Saturday? Stick to the club hurling mate!!!

1363871 Here's an education for you .....All Irelands were won long before 92, where were the men from the hills for the hundred odd years previous? Ffs Donegal have only won a fistful of provincial titles the first been in the bllomin seventies, hardly pedigree stuff now is it. Ye can't blame it on occupation eitheir like your cousins before ye.
More football in me big toe than their is in your whole county, the natural footballer ye do have is really a Mayo man by right. Way and let off some yeehows round the hills ye nutters not footballers.
Hope by some miracle ye do make semi final stage this year. I know we'll be there for sure.
You've nailed your colours to the mast with that post anyway, especially with that last line, which is even better now that you're playing Donegal earlier than expected :-)

If Cavan didn't get London they would be out of the Championship by now, its a mismatch this Sunday, sadly.

If Cavan had got Galway earlier in the qualifiers you'd never have seen Croker.

Cleatus,
Galway were embarrassed by Mayo, and have done nothing in Connaught for years - the Weakest province by some distance!
Cavan lost dubiously to the Ulster champions (although Monaghan deserved the win) who then went on the beat your crowd with plenty to spare. So if we gave Monaghan a better game than the All Ireland champions could manage, we can't be that bad!
I like the style Galway play, but I honestly think this Cavan team would beat Galway more often than not. A huge majority of Cavan's under 21s have made the step up while it remains to be seen whether a more successful Galway group can do the same. There seems to be a problem with realising early potential similar to what their hurlers experience.

Relax Cavanman. That was my point. If Galway had met Cavan they (Galway) would have been out.
Cavan and Monaghan are the 2 most improved teams this year.
Don't think a Galway lad has any grounds to run down any county down at the minute. Football or Hurling.

Cleatus,
Ah apologies, thought your comments were directed at us. Best of look on Sunday.
On another note, it must sicken you that Donegal get called negative so much more than Laois who didn't cross your 45 last Saturday. Seems that only when Ulster teams become successful that a certain style of play is not in keeping with the spirit of the game!

Managers having to stay inside defined areas on the sideline like in soccer. Nobody else allowed out of the dugout.

They think Cavan would beat Galway? Cavan? haha. I think Cavan folk have let this little run in the Championship go to their heads. The only thing keeping me going is the fact that it will be all over come Sunday evening and they can quieten down again.

Have to hand it to you ahsure your delusion knows know limits.
Why are you having a go at Cavan ? They're in the q/f on merit.
Galway are gone, shouldn't you be at the races with the footballers and hurlers.
