Having just got back from my holidays, match fever is starting to kick in.
To be honest I can't see us winning this one, however if we address some of the following then we could have a chance.
1: We cannot leave Dublin hit the ground running. A slow start will kill us in this game.
2: Aidan Walsh MUST start at midfield.
3: Sheehan has to start in the half forward line. A waste of time playing a guy with his kicking ability in the full forward line.
If we are within a 2/3 points of Dublin with 10 minutes to go, I'll be a happy with that.

Its quiet simple really and a lot of the obvious is stated in this post. Its not
rocket science. Cork simply have to play from the throw-in as they did in second half
against Kerry and last ten minutes against Galway. But the manager's attitude/strategy
of no game plan is what potentially could have this game finished in the first 20 minutes
in favour of Dublin. My hope, Cork to take leaf out of our hurler's book and attack Dublin
from the start, powerful run's Pearse O'Neill style. We have a very ordinary/dodgy defence
and Quirkes short kick-outs will suit Dublin. Yeah, but I know this and so do the 15 Corkmen
who take the field so I'm going to give them a nod of confidence that they will play as their
supporters want them to play and just fall over the finishing line by a point! (its mad, is'nt it)

I don't buy into the Walsh brilliant midfielder opinion either. He had a great game in 2010 All Ireland final however Down weren't the strongest in midfield. I have seen Walsh struggle in midfield against Limerick,Roscommon,Kerry,Mayo,Donegal he had to taken off on some of those game or moved out of midfield.

You said that Walsh played very well against Down at midfield but Down were poor. Walsh played poorly against the other teams that you mentioned so he is a poor midfielder but he is better than Down's midfield. Now, if I am keeping up with your logic, the only way that he will play well is if he meets a midfielder that is not as good as him? (something you might say about any matchup is it not?)

I'm really nervous about this one. I think Dublin are great going forward but very bare at the back. Think Cooper is not a corner back and could be badly exposed. Brennan is going to be in for a tough evening if Sheehan is played at 11. Think this will be a high scoring cliff hanger. Be very surprised if Rock doesn't start.
