Going by the radio coverage (which was hopeless) Dublin never seemed challenged. Solid win and well done lads! festinog (Galway) - Posts: 3152 - 04/08/2013 15:32:59 1452311 Link 0 |
Most successful teams down the years had an excellent dead-ball merchant, ours happens to be Stephen Cluxton, Meath had Stafford and Kerry had Fitzgerald for instance. Of course he made a difference but that was far from the reason why Dublin won, we were better end of story! realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8808 - 04/08/2013 16:03:06 1452347 Link 0 |

Corks problem is Counihan being indecisive, Counihan didnt know his best 15 and picked the older players like Canty too often. Dublin have many flaws and a Gooch or Declan O'Sullivan would have put away a few goals. It is setting up nicely for Kerry. Dublin raging hot favourites lets hope a repeat of 09 is on the Cards. Entertaining game of football but Dublin missed too many easy chances in front of goal. Cork aerial bombardment in the first half exposed the difficulty Dublin have at the back under the high ball. Expect Kerry to bomb in high ball to Donaghy in three weeks time to counter Dublin pace. Some of the shot selection from Dublin was poor. Connolly and Brogan had an off day hopefully they can get back to form. spmccann (Dublin) - Posts: 209 - 04/08/2013 21:02:56 1452735 Link 0 |
