Dublin v Cork

Dublin should win this by 5points . Be intersting to see if Cork can up there game but without O'Neill i dont see where the points will come from . Also the midfield need to come out on top and itll be a tough ask vs MDMC

I have a lot of time for Cork GAA

No disrespect to Laois but we lucked out drawing them in 2012

Not so much look in 2013

Everyone will write of Cork based on the Galway display

But come on folks... this is suit them down to the ground

If Dublin put in another 1st half display as was seen against Meath then we are in big trouble

I think Bastic will have to start... we cant afford to give away that amount of ball against Cork... they'll put us away before half time

This is going to be very close... Dublin have had a couple of setbacks on the training pitch

Alan Brogan would have featured at some stage and I feel that we've lost a major option in young Costello for the rest of the AI series

Dublin will def be favourites... I hope we can live up to that

But you have to beat the best to win an All Ireland... lets see if the points I've made about this current Dubs team are proven.

I'd be a bit worried about how strong Cork are running from deep through the middle, especially with our lightweight HB line and Ger Brennan against Aidan Walsh in particular. Corks FF line is nothing special though and our forwards should win this for us, it could depend on whether Bernard ups his game or not though. Everything is suggesting Cork are on the decline, if they play to their peak I think they can beat anyone but I just don't see it happening until there is a change in management. Dublin should win.

With a good performance regarding possession i think we are more equipped to win this game. A lot of interesting possibilities though. Dublin's selection will be more than interesting. Its the business end now, where the real championship begins and i'd expect fireworks in front of a massive crowd in Croker on saturday night when these two lock horns. Dublin by three in my book, but it could easily be Cork by three!

I think cork will win this one would'nt go by yesterday's performance they are too strong down the middle. Dublin have too many young inexperienced players and havent been really tested yet. Normally would not pick them but this could be the shock of the quarters as the dubs are the hot favourites to go all the way.

This is the game of the round, clash of the titans. Cork have yet to show their hand this season, could this be the game that kick starts their quest for Sam? My feeling is that they could shock a Dublin side yet to be tested, promises to be a humdinger of a weekend.

Brend, it would be no shock whatsoever, they've had it over us for the last 3 years or so, 50/50 game!

Hard to know with this one, i keep expecting Cork to click and fire on like 2010 but they just seem to disappoint all the time, lucky to get past the Galway boys yesterday.

Saying that i'm still not sure, Dublin are not as strong as the general gaa world think imo, some lovely new additions but they are young and inexperienced .

Value bet would be Cork.

This is a new competition for the last eight and while Cork have been poor at times and unsure of their best team a sudden death game in front of a big crowd should spur them on. Have Dublin had it soft so far I,m not sure but this is certainly a step up and once you get to the last eight the nerves can tighten things up and I would see Dublin just about getting through. I expect this to be a very good game of football and expect it to match previous clashes such as 74,83,89,95 and 2010.

Don't get where people are saying cork have it over us last number of years.they beat us twice in the history of the championship. Dublin ran a muck in the league this year against them and were comfortable winners.
Cork were very fortunate to get over galway the weekend as galway lead up until 5 mins to go and were the better team over the 70 minutes.on all form Cork should be the ones fearing Dublin not the other way around.

Surely Meath dispelled the notion against yiy boys last night that Dublin have had it easy

Meath put it up to Tyrone and I was certainly glad to see them get through. I dont like comparing teams across different games. Offaly ran Kildare close but Tyrone hammered them and that match probably served little purpose. Despite being the favourites Tyrone won the next 3 games by 2 points each time and these would have served the team better in gaining match hardness. Dublin have done nothing wrong and can only beat whats put in front of them but even in the Leinster final I never though Meath were going to win and I just think there can be a difference between this type of game and the sudden death game against Cork.
