FIX!! Normally if 2 teams come out that can't play each other, the second team drops down to play the next team drawn out - but oh no, we can't have Kerry playing Donegal so they decide to put the second team back in the bowl.
STINKS TO THE HIGH HEAVENS!!!

---------

The problem with this draw is that the technicalities of how the draw will be performed are only fully known after the draw.

I have a feeling with the exception of the Dublin game the other three could be really close.

Do not rule out a win for Cavan.

The technicalities were explained clearly before the draw was made.

The real question is why on earth was it only on radio and also whether it was in fact live or just a playback of one of many trial draws that took place earlier

unusual that they didnt have kerry v cavam on the same day as dublin v cork considering there on the same side of draw

They seem to have opted for having no more than two Ulster teams in Croker on the same day.

No fix. I dont think there is that level of paranoia in situ at the top level.

The system is not perfect, but some teams are defo more equal than others when it comes to games played divided by time

Exactly cavanman47, the procedure of the draw was made clear beforehand, but of course there's always a few who choose to ignore these things.

In the past 10 years Tyrone and Donegal have both made it to the Quarter Finals in the same year 3 times. Each of those 3 times Tyrone and Donegal are scheduled to meet in the semi final.

In the past 10 years Tyrone and Armagh have both made it to the Quarter Finals the same year 3 times. Each of those 3 times Tyrone and Armagh are scheduled to meet in the semi final.

In the past 10 years Donegal and Armagh have both made it to the Quarter Finals the same year once. They were scheduled to meet in the semi final.

Anyone know if BBC NI are showing any Ulster counties in action this weekend?

I dont think that can be true seeing as Tyrone and Armagh met in the final in 2003

cork to beat dubs kerry over cavan tyrone to win and mayo......Kerry v mayo final

That would suit me fine. I want to get kerry in an AI final. There is massive motivation there to do ourselves justice on that front.
I dont think it will happen that way though, I think donegal will beat us - the game has come too early for our injured forwards Im afraid. Just bad luck I suppose.
If that happens then I hope kerry win it. They should have beaten donegal last year, regardless of what way brolly tries to justify their excellent comeback.

Strangely benjyyy it is true. In the last 10 seasons there have been 7 occasions when Tyrone could have met Armagh/Donegal in the semi final and in all 7 the draw put them down to meet in the semi final.

In 2003 (11 seasons ago) Tyrone for once weren't down to meet either Armagh or Donegal in the semi final but that's because they were playing each other.

Should the seeding work differently ?

Is there any reason why Cavan, a Qualifier, gets to avoid AI Champs Donegal, but the latter could meet Kerry or Dublin as Provincial Champs ?

Solution - Open Draw Last Eight, or Stronger 4 v Weaker 4
