Surely the Admins can help us out here. How do we do it? It would help share modern multimedia links like pictures and videos on the messageboard, no?

Totally hypocritical. If any man came out with these comments, he would be lynched by the media instantly. Sorry to that lady but that must rank as one of the stupidest comments ever in the history of amateur sport.

Well said arock, marlon, slash and Lifford Gael. Teenage girls, who make up the vast majority of camogs, are sensitive enough about their appearance (Oh believe me - I fkn know!!) - without feeling that they have to look like a model. Very silly statement and very poor and condescending judgement by journos to cover it. And I wonder what Mrs. Purrock's daughter thinks???

Its the only way to go and ladies football should try something too, short tight skirts for example. People who don't think there an element of ''sexy'' in mens football are really naive.

Some Louth players dropped very easy last week, and then their physio came running on. All made sense.

Like it or not, player's looks are used by every sport to promote both the individual and the sport.

Rugby is a great case in point. Dan Carter and the likes are well respected by keen rugby fans, but adored by women for his looks. A lot of women go to games because they like the sense of occasion, and to get a good look at the lads. You won't see a lot of them out on a terrace in Thomond Park at a Rabo game in January, thats for sure. Apparently rugby is very popular with the gay community in France as well...

Like it or not, the product of camogie is quite poor. It won't be filling stadia anytime soon. But if girls can be attracted and retained in the sport if it appears to be more glamorous, then that would be a good thing. At the moment girls will often be mocked for playing camogie, as it's seen to be a bogger sport. Contrast that to something like ladies tennis, where a flood of beautiful and athletic women from Eastern Europe has made the game hugely popular with young women players and media/supporters alike.
