They did play the final in 2007 Waterford won 3 17 to 1 14 it was the last time limerick contested a munster final before yesterday dan the man had a stormer that day scored a hatrick of goals if my memory serves me right.
yeah you are correct they met in the munster final but in 2007 there was4 all ireland quarter finals in hurling. kilkenny and waterford despite winning leinster and munster both went into the all ireland quarter finals and not straight into an all ireland semi final like it is nowadays,thats why it has changed i think that they dont allow repeat provincial finals
