Another way to look at it is that the cats are still alive without playing that well. As I said they have a long road ahead of them, and itll be a hell of an ask, but I still see them winning it in September if they survive today. They have a two week break after today. I hope Im wrong.

KK have been robbed the sliotar left the hurl before ref blew, should be no extra time. In fairness its a pretty poor game but there is a huge chance for Waterford if they just stop over playing the damn ball.

Id have to see it again but I don't think that the sliotar left the hurl. The ref wrongly assumed that the Waterford defender would clear the ball (which the hurler should have done) and had the whistle at his lips ready to blow when the sliotar was cleared.
As it turns out the defender messed up and the whistle was blown as the Kilkenny man was about to pull the trigger.
That's how I saw it anyway.

Jaysus terrible call by umpire a square ball!! this is getting worse if KK survive this onslaught of poor calls by officials they'll deserve to go through.

Hard luck waterford gave it a great rattle. Officials could have caused a travesty with their calls. But I do think KK are a spent force, this championship is anyones.

Would have been very controversial if the cats lost. On they march. They can be caught, but ill rest a lot easier once/if theyre beaten.

What a game! Hurling makes any other sport look like nothing. Hard luck to Waterford but the Cats proved just why they are the best team of all time. What a year of hurling and still not even had the Munster final yet :-)

That's why Kilkenny remain the best and will still win Liam.

Kilkenny have been in demise for some time now but still they just don't do losing (at least not too often). But I think they have enough to give it a big lash this year. If not them, I think the Dubs. By the way, just can't see Clare in the final shake-up.

Definitely the first time I saw refs blatantly try shaft a team in all my years watching hurling. To make it even worse, at the end of the 2 minutes of injury time in extra time he played about another 35 seconds and gave Waterford another chance to lob the ball into the square. Shocking stuff.
