well i had a look here for the first time in about 6 months and the standard of debate on hurling was good, wind up merchants appear to have been put in their place, so pinkie is back!

I think Cork will win this. I dont believe Limerick will reach the heights reached v Tipp again. I hope I am wrong as have a soft spot for Limerick.

This one is going to be very tight. I'd love Limerick to win but i have a feeling a replay will be required and then the know how of Cork will get them to victory.

If its anything like the u21 two years ago it'll be a cracker. A lot of players from that match will be starting. Shame the likes of Aidan Walsh won't be playing. I can't call it anyway.

Cork should win by a couple of points. Limerick picked up a lot of breaking ball against Tipp due to the way Tipp were utilising the poession but Cork are a different kettle of fish.

They beat a good physical Clare team and have deadly forwards to probably have this won by the 50 minute mark.

Limerick im afraid rearly turn up in finals and when they do for some reason they blow it.

Limerick will need a few goals to win this but home advantage too might have a say.

Good year for the Limerick coffers too. Both Munster Semi Finals and Final in the Ennis Road. Pity the pubs are too packed 40,000 people queing at the bar with 4 bar men.

Waited an hour to be served at the Tipp v Limerick game.

So a warning for Cork fans bring a bag of cans and drink on the grass outside the stadium!!! it would be more enjoyable than being ignored by a bar man!!!

freetaker1, what I meant was that I think Limerick hurled above themselves in the 2nd half v Tipp. I dont know if they can re-produce that sort of performance. For me, I fear their forwards are too inconsistent.
But hey, I'll gladly eat a ton of humble pie if they are Munster Champions come Sunday evening.

Okay here goes. This has the making of an excellent Limerick team. I have the upmost respect for Cork, Limerick and the Rebels always have a good respect and rapport for each other on and off the pitch.

Limerick play best when it is high paced, intense with lots of physical stuff, not sure Cork will like that. If and a big if we went with

Dowling
Allis
Hannon
Mulcahy
Downes
Tobin

we have a forward line that could do serious damage. I think we will go with the same approach, physical half forward line and bring the lively lads on later.

Anyway i think we will just sneak it. Limerick are a team that can suffer nerves at times but for me it is the fear of success and that is something to embrace.

Whatever happens i promise you this is a proper Limerick outfit who have one over 30 in the starting 15 with an average age of 24 or so. The future is bright.

Come on Limerick! Really looking forward to this one. Been a fantastic championship so far. For any Cork fans going, forget about drinking pints in a bar, if the Tipp game was anything to go by, there'll be one bar member to every 4000 punters! A bag of cans on the grass near Centra is your only man. The last time I was at a Limerick Cork game, it was the Munster u-21 final in 2011 and possibly the best game of hurling I ever witnessed was served up for us. The aforementioned Aidan Walsh was unreal - thank God he's not playing on Sunday! Luimneach abú!

They played above themselves??? Please explain, did they go to a higher plain of Consciousness or something??. Sorry but your very very wrong if you think thats it for Limerick, Tipp was a stepping stone nothing more, a over hyped stepping stone and Limerick should have beaten them last year as well, Tipp where outplayed, out fought, out hurled and horsed out of it.

If anything, Hannon and Mulcahy (our two best forwards) underperformed against Tipp. I struggle to think that could happen again. If they are both on song, we always have Dowling to bring in aswell to turn the tide. Very confident this weekend...

Really looking forward to Sunday. Hard to call as I don't think either of us was fancied
to win their respective semi's. Attitude by Limerick & Cork was in the true Munster hurling mould.
John Allen must be having a lot of emotive strings being pulled but the man is professional to
the cork and a decent individual as well. That's the lot of the "travelling" IC Manager!
Well, here's to a good day out and I hope this one goes right down to the wire with a Cork win!

Brian Murphy is a huge loss for Cork, prior to his injury I was 50/50 but I think the pendulum is swinging Limerick's way. In a sense both Cork & Limerick surprised many with their semi final performances, so is it a true reflection of where they are. Did either peak last time out or is one or the other going to kick on from here to even better things. I'm travelling in hope but if Limerick prevail, I'll wish them the very best. The good news is that both teams have at least 2 matches left, win either and you are in an All Ireland semi final.
