Don't think we should be linking the GAA in such a clear fashion to one particular soccer team.

Why?

Well I'm sure the GAA had loads of other clubs lining up but really that's not the point is it? I think it's a good initiative and Celtic are unique in terms of the Irish identity associated with them. Twice I have been to Parkhead where the GAA club in Glasgow have been doing collections outside the ground. I know some people don't buy into Celtic's background and other are positively enraged by it but surely people would have to be severely twisted to give out about a scheme that is aimed at promoting youth development through sport in disadvantaged areas.

So you allow this to go, it is lies, an insult to Celtic and its wider family but you won't let my post go by in defence. I had a feeling this project won't sit too well with the right wing castle catholic elitist conservative GAA types.

Maybe the GAA will also link up with clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea and Man Utd in the future.

After all those clubs also have quite size-able fanbases in Ireland too and would probably be able to provide a bit more financial backing than Celtic could.

Suppose our cringe inducing Leader will have to ask his bosses in Europe if it is okay for this scheme to go ahead seen that every other decision he makes is dictated by the EU/IMF.

I think Liam O'Neill pretty much has carte blanche.

The sectarian comments need to be substantiated, it is total misinformation. Sectarianism is not tolerated at Celtic park.

To be honest some people probably find there to be a bit of a grey area relating to sectarianism.

Some might mistake it for bigotry.

And while bigotry might not be acceptable at Celtic Park unfortunately it doesn't stop a small element of their fans from engaging in it.

No I don't particularly want to discuss Celtics history but thanks for singling me out though, it's nice to feel special sometimes.
