For me they have to have good knowledge obviously, but more importantly up to date with the modren game. Most important, they have to be passionate about it and be able to get that passion accross in order to fed of there hype. Such as Michael o'Mur or Charlie Collins of Highland radio as someone just mentioned as these boys would have been able to make yesterdays mayo game seem interesting right up to the last kick of the ball. fatfrog (Donegal) - Posts: 200 - 17/06/2013 16:32:23 1409013 Link 0 |
Ryan McMenamin was just ok last night, not a very fluent speaker, bit of twitch, but what he does says makes perfect sense, no beating about the bush with his opinions. Maybe a few appearances would help him. Salmanneile (Longford) - Posts: 113 - 17/06/2013 16:32:46 1409014 Link 0 |

Out of all the current pundits I prefer Kevin McStay, and think he often gives a realistic and Impartial opinion on teams and football matters. His experience offers a view from both a player and a managers perspective. He isn't controversial, but very accurate with his analysis. I wish they'd get rid of Spillane - I'm not just saying that because he's said anti-Tyrone things in the past, I'm just sick of him saying the same old stuff week in week out. MichaelO (Tyrone) - Posts: 820 - 17/06/2013 19:05:42 1409243 Link 0 |

I really didn't like him at first, my anti Laois bias was also a factor, but I think Colm Parkinson does a fine job with newstalk. Daith (Kildare) - Posts: 1172 - 17/06/2013 20:24:36 1409358 Link 0 |
