Sounded like a great game. The Brick is some man.

Very unusual that Offaly went out of the Championship without conceding a goal especially against two big hitters like Waterford and Kilkenny. Any chance of an Offaly Allstar at 123 0r 4.

They seemed to concede a lot of scoreable frees yesterday too so probably not!

David Kenny has had 2 really good outings and Healion had a massive game Saturday evening. But i'm afraid Waterford were way to cute in moving the play around and got some really good team scores. We conceded 47 points in 2 games, thats why we are out!

Best of luck to Waterford, great crowd travelled up, and was a solid contest even though its tough to come out on the wrong side of a narrow defeat.
Waterford have young players coming through and a decent fixture agin Westmeath, so looking good for the next round.

While Offaly will be disappointed, I suppose there should be reasonable cause for optimism. They ran Kilkenny closer than many other teams might, and put it up to what is still a very respectable Waterford side. If an Offaly club doesn't win the Leinster club this year, they should have a decent crack off the 2014 league.

I think that win will be the makings of a lot of those young Waterford lads. They'll take a lot of confidence of having to go up there and fight tooth and nail for a victory. Maurice Shanahan in particular - in a couple of years we could be talking about that game as the one where he kicked on and became top class.

That had to be one of the worst refereeing performances I've seen in a long time though. Some very strange decisions. Waterford should have had at least one penalty.
