No I checked back and I said Belfast is a soccer area and that that includes the area around casement park with its anti GAA residents (MORA I think they're called). I grant you that the falls road has a lot of GAA drinking dens disguised as clubs, morning noon and night drink away with soccer and horse racing all on the big screen!!! I never saw too many antrim flags flying from houses, gaa clubs, bars etc but if wear your poppy with pride celtic or man utd are playing it's like little england.

MORA are not anti GAA they, like anyone else with a brain cell are concerned about the impact that construction and large crowds are going to have on their property, for all the criticism you give on here don't tell me you wouldn't be concerned if it was your house. As for the surrounding area, DC? that's what makes it a soccer area? closer by you have Lamb Dearg, Rossa, St.Pauls, Johnnies, Gort, St.Galls etc, each have their own club with far more local members than any soccer club could even come close to. Say what you want about other bars showing soccer and racing but those sports are on tv almost everyday, GAA is not! what do you want people to do watch repeats? poppy wearing in Andytown btw? lol wise up with your hear say and country folk tales

God lads - with some of the views being expressed on here and the scare tactics and fabricated stats being spouted I won't be surprised if some of you get tapped up for some of the Unionist political parties. Fortyfive - sorry to hear you lost your car but no offence I have probably attended Casement on a lot lot more occassions than you and I have never had as much as a scratch on my car on my return (and I have parked in various and wonderful places from the footpath on Andytown Rd to the estates in and around the ground). But to use your unfortunate experience as a general statement of the place needs putting in to perspective.

The design is hardly ground breaking, considering how much it is costing.

Maybe we could break the £60 million up and give Casement Park and two other grounds a £20 million revamp each.
