RCB Paidi (cant believe he hasnt been mentioned yet)

Páidí played most of his football at half-back but did play corner back 84-86.

Marc O'shea wouldn't lace O'Malleys boots !

Robbie by a long shot.

Marc O' Shea probably wouldn't but O' Malley wouldn't lace Marc Ó Sé's boots!

The late great Enda Colleran. Had the captaincy for two of that great three in a row Galway team of the mid sixties. On top of being a polished defender he took many of the goalie kick outs as well. He had it all.

Seems to be between Bob O Malley and Marc O'Shea. Both excellent players and very specialist skillful corner backs.Would vote for Bob myself.

Robbie O'Malley was an out and out corner back, the best every by a country mile.

Missed this. But the best Mayo 'keeper I have seen is David Clarke. Technically terrific, very consistent, sharp. Love the guy.

I can go back to the 70s and has to be Tony Scullion for me with Robbie O'Malley a close second. Can't believe so much talk of Marc O'Se, he has been top class but I would argue that his former team mate Tom O'Sullivan was the best corner back of the last 15 years. but maybe not as comfortable on the ball coming forward.
