Darren Fay. Tough as nails but was a very skilful player too. As my auld boy says, the only thing more effective than a blanket defence was Darren Fay.

Blessed with great full backs in Meath. Was not around for Paddy O Brien (Team of the Century full back). Favourite was Jack Quinn, who could play in any position on the pitch. Later we had Mick Lyons and Darren Fay. Seeing that the position will go to a player of a younger age its Darren Fay for me.

Don't think I can vote for someone who was roasted by Ray Cosgrove so Fay although a colossus at times is out for me.

Séamus Moynihan for me. May have been primarily a centre back but he gave the best full back performance I've ever seen in 2000 against Armagh. At times he was holding Armagh back almost single handedly.

Honourable mention to Francie too. A giant.

"and I wish one or two people would stop talking absolute rubbish, including a poster from Meath."

I think you might have to narrow that one down a little

Is there a reason for not just naming your 1-15 instead of dragging it out player by day?

This makes it far more exciting.. Well I think it does anyway. Number 3 goes to Darren Fay, just ahead of Mick Lyons. Fay seemed like a better all round footballer.

Also I just want to say if I'd known we were only voting for players from the internet age I would've voted for Sean Marty Lockhart yesterday who I don't think even got a mention!
