Seamus Moynihan was more renowned as a centre back. This is a hard position to pick as there are some great players like Joe Keohane, Darren Fay, Paddy O Brien, Graham Canty, Mick Lyons. Based on the amount of medals he has won I would pick Joe Keohane with Mick Lyons a close second

So many great players to choose from; Joe Keohane who was picked on Millennium Team, The Iron Man From Rhode AKA Paddy McCormack, Kerry's last natural full back John O' Keeffe, Mick Lyons was a beast for Meath, and then Francie Bellew. I won't consider Moynihan as it wasn't his natural position.

My vote goes to Darran Fay. I can't remember him having too many bad days, classy operator and had the strength to go with it.

Darren Fay
Lyons was a bully. Dont get me wrong, he was a hell of a footballer, but he depended on his bully boy image a lot. Fay was class. Sheer class.

First time i'll think outside the Galway box and it has to be Francie Bellew.

1400002 Obviously it's too early for 'The Roc' to be considered the greatest but in ten years time he will, so my vote goes to Darren Fay. I've never seen a better full back than Fay his only roasting was against Joyce in 2001 Final but other than that's he's been outstanding. Seamus for me is known as a centre back not full back.

Clon, Mark O'Reilly was marking Joyce, he switched off Fay at half time having only got 1 pt in 1/2 half....

My vote goes too

Darren fay

Who says we've moved onto the fullback position? I'm not naming mine until after training tonight

Even though I am an Armagh man I have to nominate Francie Bellew Stephen O'Neill in 2005 Ulster final was the only time i saw him get truly destroyed!

ok Fullback; There are some classic full backs out there; Mick Lyons, Sean Doherty, John O'Keeffe, Darran Fay, Francis Bellow, even though he was played in a number of positions I'd have to go with Seamus Moynihan, his displays in the early 2000's at teh edge of the square were unreal, he captained the all ireland and won player of that year in 2000. My choice Seamus Moynihan

Now I have seen many a good full back. Jack Quinn, iron man from Rhode paddy McCormick Mick Lyons.
But my vote goes to the man who was probably a better classier _player than those.
Darren Fay.
