Kildare flop again Royalio11 (Meath) - Posts: 802 - 30/06/2013 17:24:43 1419185 Link 0 |
Will McGeeney stay? Where do they go from this? The qualifiers obviously.. but looking at the bigger picture, Kildare have only regressed. RoyalClass (Meath) - Posts: 790 - 30/06/2013 17:32:26 1419202 Link 0 |
Just because teams aren't contesting the game does not make it free flowing good football. Once again Dublin get a walkover so its hard to tell how they are shaping up this year and I can't see Meath offering any kind of competition. Must say I really enjoyed that. A lot better than some of the crap in Ulster. Good to see Kildare being put in their place. Hard to see Meath doing too much better. Maestro (Meath) - Posts: 586 - 30/06/2013 17:38:44 1419214 Link 0 |
Why has this Kildare team been talked up every year. A top 5/6 team ever since McGeeney took charge? Leinster title easier for Dublin than Connacht title for Mayo. 3 matches each. 3 easy wins. peile (Mayo) - Posts: 180 - 30/06/2013 17:40:23 1419215 Link 0 |
Kildare .....the only top six side in history never to win a game of any worth. 51longago (Mayo) - Posts: 2981 - 30/06/2013 17:42:26 1419221 Link 0 |
Get that man out now. Not one man on that pitch had a clue what he was supposed to be doing. We are a laughing stock. Put a token team out into the qualifiers, send Dan Flynn to Australia and be done with it. Daith (Kildare) - Posts: 1172 - 30/06/2013 17:43:22 1419223 Link 0 |

Great display from Dublin, really laid down a marker today. MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 30/06/2013 18:13:40 1419283 Link 0 |
Took no pleasure in that result. Felt sorry for kildare, they started so strongly that I was thinking that they might have our number today. Regardless, while one can debate Geezer staying in charge maybe he has done all he can and that KIldare need something a little different to get them over the line. bluedubstar (Dublin) - Posts: 835 - 30/06/2013 18:18:09 1419296 Link 0 |
In my opinion the referee lost this game for Kildare. Right before the second Dublin goal Dublin were awarded a free for a completely fair shoulder. It was a farce of a decision. It mightn't have mattered in the end but it was certainly a turning point in the game mayoaresavage (Mayo) - Posts: 313 - 30/06/2013 18:18:33 1419297 Link 0 |

Dublin can only beat whats put in front of them. Though Kildare would have made a better game of it in second half. The real test for Dublin will be when they meet one of the big six. Will they be able to get past the defensive systems of Donegal. Will they be able to hold the forwards of Donegal and Mayo if they go man on man. Wouldn't rule Cork or Kerry out either. Some great games to look forward to come August. Drummerboy (Dublin) - Posts: 85 - 30/06/2013 18:34:54 1419327 Link 0 |

I didn't enjoy seeing Kildare absolutely hammered even if it was my team playing because it does us no good, but you have to wonder about Kildare. Lumping high ball in on the FF line worked in the first 5 mins but after that it got them nowhere, the most worrying part for Kildare (and exciting part for Dublin) is that Flynn, Andrews and BB were all quite poor so I wonder what it could've been like if they were on form. Well I suppose they probably would have lost anyway but I do think it was a turning point in the game. It was a clear fair shoulder in fairness. Instead of losing by 2 at half time they were losing by 5 as a result of the goal mayoaresavage (Mayo) - Posts: 313 - 30/06/2013 18:45:04 1419344 Link 0 |
