I'm not convinced with Dublin yet and I believe with the constant rotation of their team over the past 2 years they've failed to find a settled unit.

Jasus,Dublin in the last 2 years have won an all ireland,a league and 2 leinsters, not bad for team that has failed to find a settled unit.

It's really your failure to land an O'Byrne Cup.

Yes doublehop, the elusive O'Byrne Cup,it's but a distant memory now when Jayo sunk the mighty Longford with two last minute goals and it culminated with the realization of my soul's desires.

Sigh......

Looking forward to next Sunday now, Meath v Wexford should be a good game to watch beforehand , mind you anything would be better than that rugby league effort of a game yesterday. At least one thing is for sure Kildare and Dublin will play Gaelic football the way it's suppose to be played.

Thanks for posting that link lilywhitemagic. Great memory. Hadn't seen the halftime studio commentary before. Be interesting to hear what they said afterwards.

Haha Jesus how mentally weak was that Dublin team? Only scored 1 point in the 2nd half Jesus that was a heartbreaking era for Dublin football , and lets be honest it was wasn't a great Kildare team either, a few good players but nothing special actually Buckley was one of the best footballers I ever seen but other than him only average.

Buckley must be the only one you remember. Glen Ryan, Rainbow, Lynch, McCreery were more than average players at that time. You think that one above average player would have got us a Leinster and to an All Ireland ?

Glad to hear the Dubs finally writing off the likes of Collie Moran, Ciaran Whelan, Dessie Farrell, Jim Gavin and Jason Sherlock. Were well and truly overrated and were well beaten in the second half by an average but vastly superior Kildare side.

They won more than any Kildare team since the 1920s

Rainbow, Ryan and Willie were good but nothing special, it was an average Kildare team that needed outside players to make the break through.
