What is it about tyrone hope one more day will do them and that will keep them quiet for another year . Give us a bit of peace

Have to agree there. For some reason every year Tyrone get a huge hype around them but they fail to deliver. Tyrone this, tyrone that. I just don't get it. Tyrone are average

Tyrone are far from average. They are in the top six of a group of 34. I don't know where you went to school, but that looks a lot better than average to me.

Always Tyrone and Kerry Topdownfan, the question I want to know the answer to is this. Do you hate Tyrone more than you love Kerry? By the way the media blew up Tyrone, we might have a poster or 2 on here who think Tyrone will beat a rest of Ireland team combined but the normal party line is that we are slowly rebuilding but are still outside the teams capable of challenging. As for your groupie missdownfantastic or whatever her name is, yeah we in Tyrone were fairly confident that we could win all Ireland's this past ten years as we had a brilliant side that guess what...... Won all Ireland's, nothing wrong with that. I'm sure down folk thought they could win a few after 91 after all they had a great side. The hateful and bitter comments by you 2 is just cringeworthy and I'm surprised a few of your fellow county posters haven't pulled you up as your just giving them a bad name.

It's the media that hype us up orlaith, ask any Tyrone person who has any idea about were we currently stand and most would be happy to challenge for an Ulster which we now haven't won since 2010, its not our fault we keep getting mentioned when it comes to picking possible Ulster or all Ireland winners.

Yes I'd have to agree that it seems to be the media that blow Tyrone up significantly more than what they actually are. They did look impressive in the league but there's only so much you can take from a league perspective. Donegal's league performances and their display last weekend were chalk and cheese.

For me, Tyrone still don't look like a settled and cohesive unit. They lacked match winners up front last weekend and their work rate seemed to fade in the second half. I think people are right in saying that you can't be relying on your goalkeeper to be hitting 50 yard hail Mary's to win you a match. Tyrone are papering over the cracks in their lack of penetration up front and that's exactly where they lost. 30 minutes without scoring is not a feat you'd associate with potential All-Ireland winners. Tyrone are still rebuilding in my opinion and are probably in a fairly good position with regard to good players coming through however, they're a couple of years short of All-Ireland material in my opinion. I reckon they'll probably make the quarter final and possibly even an All-Ireland semi depending who they draw.

I know I'm from down but I was actually on the phone to a former Kerry manager who said he'd like to get a crack at Tyrone, Down and Donegal and would like to see a Tyrone Kerry final but he doesn't think Tyrone will be strong enough to get there

I haven't even mentioned Down playing Derry but sure we can only hope for the best! And as regards the down ladies I'd love to be playing apart only for medical reasons. And duke raul, coming from a man who's team is already in the back door?

Whats clear in all of this nonsense is that you and your county man Topdown are youngsters who have not much else to do.You are probably too young to remember Downs early nineties triumphs and are therefore simply jealous of Tyrones more recent success. When we were the under dogs with no titles everybody wished us well and for the most part I think thats still true, the exception being the likes of yourself and your friend topdown and that simply shows your unsporting and jealous nature.Catch yourself on wee girl.

Calm down lad. Your a sensitive soul.

Tyrone are no longer a great team, get over it and move on, it's 2013 not 2003.

Fair enough Mournearmy.....Down are not a great side right now either but you do not see the Tyrone posters on here gloating about it at every turn. That some Down posters are finding joy in the perceived misfortunes of Tyrone is sad especially since we are doing much better than Down right now.

We're still in Ulster, so that's debatable lol.

I know Down aren't a great side right now with the amount of injuries we have and players emigrated etc that's pretty understandable. But we can only deal with the players we have and on any given day we can produce a top class performance. As for a minority of Down posters on here gloating or whatever you would call it, I can't speak for them.

I know you can't speak for them and unlike them regards Tyrone, I was cheering for Down in 91 & 94. Enough said.

I wouldn't read too much into Tyrone getting beat by Donegal, could have easily gone the other way.

Remember Tyrone won in 2005 after drawing with Cavan, needing a replay to get over them and then losing to Armagh in Ulster. Then they beat a Kerry team who were hammering teams out of site in the final. Not saying they will do it again this year but who knows and hardly time for gloating from Down men who will be doing very well to get past Derry.

That Tyrone team will be very dangerous after getting a bit of momentum up in the qualifiers. I'm happy we got them in the first round on a damp day in May.

I see both Topdownfan and missdownfanatic bury their heads in the sand when it comes to down football, let's be clear down haven't been seen since wee peter and co put to bed the great down side of the 90s in the 96 Ulster final, as for the team who made the final in 2010 they have to be up there with one the worst ever all Ireland final sides was a bit of an anti climax down making that final.

Tyrone may well be a top six team, but everton are a top six team in the premier league.Tyrone are at best rank outsiders for the all Ireland, and have been all along, its just that a good league campaign made them look better than they were.Donegal will win it.

Fair enough jon, all I'm saying is that to call them average out of all the counties in Ireland is a bit silly. I also disagree that they are "at best rank outsiders". They were beaten by the champions on their own home ground & had Morgan produced the goods they could have won it as they bossed the game for long periods, something not many other teams will do.
