was impressed with both teams yesterday. However Down were a tad fitter in the end and had very strong midfield in McKeirnan and King. However if Derry had taken 2 very good goal chances they would have won it and no amount of analysing can deny that.

Well Down had a fair amount of goal chances too, with Donal O'Hare hitting the post as one that sticks out in my head. Had Down took another one of their goals chances then it wouldn't have mattered if Derry had taken their 2 goal chances as Down would've still won.

No chance it will be played at Celtic Park. That would be a home game for Donegal for all intents and purposes. What about the Athletic Grounds ????

I'll be disappointed if it's not at Clones. No other ground in the province could facilitate Ulsters two biggest supported counties.

Why don't you make it Croke park in that case MourneArmy!

Fair point MourneArmy.

However, playing the big games in the weaker counties could promote the game in such areas.

That is also a fair point. In that case Omagh and Armagh would both be viable options. But wherever it's played we'll enjoy our day our following our minors & seniors.

Unfortunately I don't hold the key to such decisions. Anyway, we'll be seeing enough of Croke Park later in the summer lol.

Brendtheredhand you seem quite experienced in this, I take it you had plenty of days in Croker's museum etc during last summer's championship? :)

Down will win nothing, donegal will march over them but the down egos will still find some way of blaming some outside reason in how they were cheated out of beating donegal. Living in the past, tyrone know exactly where we are Down on the other hand......best supporters me @** half the county doesn't even follow it. Just hope some div 4 team puts them out of the qualifiers

So remind me what have Down won since 1994 my memory wouldn't be so good these days. Beat a division 2 team and suddenly we should all fall down and worship you's get over yourself would you come back when you actually do anything of note!!!
