What way do you see this going? I'd be hoping for a Down win, they've showed well in their challenge games and their performance against Kildare in the final round of the league will be still in the back of their heads.

Hard one to call. I'll go for Derry by the minimum but wouldnt be at all surprised to see the result go the other way.

Very hard to call. Down are coming into this game under the radar with all the talk about Derry it might just suit them. McIver will have Derry well set up and will be hard to beat. I saw Down in Ballybofey in the league and they were very poor, although they got a few good performances by the end of the league. I think Down might just pip Derry and Im expecting a close game. Down by 3.

Id have to go for Derry, home advantage should sway it the oakleafs way. Brian McIvor spent a few years in the mourne camp so will know them inside out. Derry have the forwards to hurt and expose Down porous defence. Derry by 6

Hard enough to call, Derry did well in the league against Div 2 opposition and Down struggled against Div 1 teams, not much in it, momentum is with Derry I suppose!

I think Derry should win this one, But It would be very dangerous to underestimate this Down team.

Down narrowly lost to Tyrone, were robbed against Cork and beat Mayo and Kildare in the National league. Derry will need to play exceptionally tight football in order to beat these boys, but McIver should have them well prepared for this task.

Will be an Interesting game in many ways. There will be a lot of expectation from Derry fans after a great Division 2 title win, and rightly so. In many ways I feel like this is the beginning of a new era for Derry.

id like to see derry win this and after taking the league and promotion to div1 their will be a confidence in the squad something I feel they have lacked in a while they have good players and McIvor seems to be doing well working with them should be an interesting game all the same...

Down could well be waiting in the long grass to ambush us they sat and analysed us in the league div2 final like donegal done too tyrone. .Very close call this game whoever gets the goal or goals should prevail,to balance predictions up a little Down by 1pt.
