Well done London

Yes I would, Leinster is only relevant to Galway as a means of starting the championship on a level pegging with everyone else and it suits Leinster as it helps the competitiveness of a championship which has struggled for relevance. I am happy to see London dong well and playing in Connacht but in terms of the overall health of Connacht football how London are performing is not relevant, similarly with Galway in Leinster.

Amazing result, Fair play especially considering they were limited in preparation as they could not come home to train or play challenges.

Square ball.....so want if London or Leitrim are in the last 12. The best team usually ends up winning the all Ireland anyway. It hardly a connachts team fault there a not as many counties as Leinster....I suggest you take it up with the British empire. At least connact is competing on that any team can beat the other which can't be said of the joke that it the Munster football championship.

"...Really Connacht football (Mayo aside) is beyond laughable at this stage......."

Mmm, Mayo could win the All-Ireland this year, Galway u-21 champions, St. Brigids All-Ireland club champions.

If Galway and/or Sligo are any use they will rebound in the qualifiers.

Hard to make an assessment until the end of the year. As i say every year the AVERAGE standard across the provinces is much of a muchness...too much is read into specific matches or somebody winning something.

+1 well said. It seems for some you can't give congrats to London without giving a dig to Connaacht football

Yeah so what if 1 of the weakest teams in the country are in the last 12 of our premier competition.. It's not Connacht's fault I suppose, more the GAA's for allowing this ridiculous structure to continue.

As said on the other thread club and U-21 All Ireland champions are from Connacht and Mayo reached last years Senior AI final and don't forget Mayo only beat Sligo by two points last year and needed extra time to beat London.

Fair play to London but Sligo must be terrible. It'll be interesting to see what Kevin Walsh does if they're knocked out early in the qualifiers.

I'd keep my powder dry just in case one of the Connacht teams dumps Westmeath out of the championship (not exactly a power house in the annals of the GAA!!!)

If Mayo beat the rest of the country out the gate it doesn't make it less of a joke one of those teams will be in the last 12. Roscommon are guaranteed to get into the second round of qualifiers without having played a game. Westmeath have to beat Dublin to get to the same stage.

That's what you get with a smaller province no different than Munster. We played in round 1 last year will be round 2 this year. If Westmeath beat Dublin they will likely win Leinster how is that any different if we beat Mayo?

If by some miracle we beat the dubs we would then have to beat another div 1 side in kildare.

Difference is we'll have to beat 2 more teams of real quality. Ye would have to beat Leitrim or London, not to mention Dublin are better than Mayo.
