There huge haul of national titles over the last 23/30 years clearly shows how big of an advantage it is to them...

That's the most sensible thing that you have ever said. Respect. Maybe run a spell check next time though.

Spare a thought for the many teams that never/rarely get to play in Croke and would love the opportunity of playing the Dubs there with the great atmosphere that is always present when the Dubs play.

If Tyrone played every game in Omagh, they would win Ulster every single year.
If Kerry played every game in Killarney , they'd probably win Munster every year.
If Mayo played every game in Castlebar.. Well , they win Connacht every year no matter what so that's beside the point...
Why should the Dubs get special treatment!?

If Dublin played every game in Parnell Park, they would still win Leinster nearly every year! What exactly is your point?

Lilywhite:

The Dubs bring something special to Croker but from what I have seen over the years they only bring it in the last weeks of August and the 3rd Sunday of September. I'm all for peripheral counties getting the opportunity to play in Croke Park but if your traditional teams such as Kerry, Cork, Tyrone etc have arrived at a meeting with Dublin in a better standing then there needs to be some consideration given to the venue in the future.

If the management and players of the stronger counties want to play on the hollowed turf of Croker then so be it.

Given that Dublin went 16 years from 1995 - 2011 between winning SAM and when they played all their matches in Croker throughout this period is there really an advantage? It seems like a convenient excuse fro some because over that same period Dublin choked at times in front of their own crowd and took some bad beatings when under pressure. It is probably a big advantage when they are winning but equally as big a disadvantage when they are struggling. Tyrone, Kerry, Mayo, Cork players and fans will testify that there is probably nothing better in Gaelic football than beating the Dubs in front of the Hill. Furthermore let's not kid ourselves; they bring in much needed finance for the GAA.

Moo moo, what Dubs here were complaining about travelling to Ennis last year? Produce the evidence! The only reference I recall was to fact that the match was at 7pm rather than at 5pm. Dublin hurlers have played maybe ten times in Croke Park over the past 5/6 years.

Lads its not about the all irelands, its about the Leinster titles. Dublin have won 7 out of the last 8 Leinster titles playing against oposition who only see the inside of Croke park once or twice in a year where as they have all their home league games there the last few seasons. The bones of this Westmeath team only got their first game in Croke park a few weeks ago for the league final and it was clear in the first 20 mins that they were overawed by their surroundings. There is a huge difference in playing in little ol Cusack park in front of 1500 people and in front of 40000 + fans in the shadows of the stands of Croke park. IT IS AN ADVANTAGE!

I suppose the question is to all the complainers........particularly the Leinster counties, is what are yous going to do about it?

The Leinster Council sets the venues, not the DCB. The GAA sets the venues for the All-Ireland series, Croke Park has to be somewhere lads.

The power is all in your hands.

Will yous change it or would yous miss complaining about it too much?

Do yous actually want to change it or just sit around and complain about it 2 o3 times a year.

The Dublin hurlers had to play Clare away last year and there was a thread started by Dubs on here complaining about the fact they had to travel

This is a lie.

Yes it is AN ADVANTAGE.Now why dont you complain to the "powers that be"for a level playing field and get DUBLIN to play away matches in leinster if they are pulled out 2nd in draw.
