Sunday 26 May

Leinster SFC first round
Laois v Louth, Portaloise, 3pm

How do you see this one going?

I'd go for Laois by 4-6 points.

I would bet on Laois getting to a Leinster final. Donie Kingston is a huge addition to them, their downfall in the quarter final last year against Dublin was a lack of scoring forwards. They probably have the strongest squad of players in the province after Dublin. Clancy, Meaney, Meredith, Lillis, Sheehan, Tierney all on the bench for Sunday.

I'm predicting an upset. There's not much between Louth and Laois. I'll go for Louth by 2 points.

Strongest squad of players in the province after Dublin? What are you basing that on? I take it you are a Laois man.. enough said.

As usual where Dublin aren't involved, I hope the underdog wins. But unfortunately I think Laois will win.

With players the calibre of Clancy, Meaney, Meredith, Lillis, Sheehan and Tierney not named in their starting fifteen for Sunday they have decent strength and depth in their squad. Meaney is one of the best full backs in the game, himself, Pauric Clancy and Sheehan all started in the quarter final last year and have been regulars the past few seasons. They also boast no injury concerns ahead of Sunday.

I am a Meath supporter and I would say that they have a better squad of players than both Meath and Kildare.

I feel Laois have got the defensive part of the game set up and this could take them as far as the Leinster Final.

I don't think there is a whole pile between these two teams.

For some reason in recent times Louth seems to play well for a period when new management comes in.

AO'R has brought in some new young faces to the squad so this along with the return of some players who went abroad in recent years has probably given Louth their best squad of players for some time.

I'd be very hopeful that the 2013 squad of players will not let anyone down on Sunday next.

It depends what Louth team turns up, they were inconsistent in the league and if they play well I think they could beat a Laois side who I really don't understand what the fuss is about

There won't be much in it, but Laois home advantage could swing it.
That said we have made some progress under o Rourke but in the league we lacked killer instinct, an age old failing.
Should be a good match, it's 3 years since we beat anybody worthwhile in the championship while Laois went out early the last two years in Leinster.
Both sides will want it badly with Dublin on the other side of the draw, so a humdinger could be on the cards
