1390311 Cullann, The fact it is in irish might not be everyone's cup of tea!

Were you not talking about the quality of the programme? The language of a programme should not have anything to do with wether or not the content of a programme is good or bad, would you not agree? Hence my point. Any way its a side issue.

Aontaíom leat go h-iomlán a bhuachaill. Especially about Gary Neville. We know that Joe does not like soccer but he could have a look at Neville who is very good, makes his point and does not have to resort to insults. He might learn a thing or two. Sky are doing alright as well.

Cén chaoi a bhfuil a fhios againn nach maith le Joe sacar? Based on previous articles by him he has a pasing following of soccer. I think you are mixing this up with his recent article when he he rightfully expresses his bewilderment about how Irish people are totally smithen with their English based soccer clubs. If you read that particular article you will see that it is very hard to disagree with anything he says in it.

As a Galway man I dont believe he crossed the line by saying Galway dont take it seriously, He also said Galway are all flash and no substance and hes right! This Galway think there alot better than they are.

He did cross the line last week with Paul Grimley - it became personal (mentioning his brothers).
Similarly he did the same with Pat Gilroy last year (Who he actually claimed was a friend of his at the time)in relation to substititions made or not made he said he hadn't a clue, utter chaos.

For the Galway comment I'm not sure it was below the belt as posted by Galway man above. What he was saying was that the top teams have serious intent. Their organisation and planning, tactics and backroom teams show their serious intent. Galway are talented but nowhere near that standard of professionalism or organisation. This was perfectly illustrated by the great fanfare after Galway's 1st round walkover Roscommon last year and they were heralded as the saviours of football. Unfortunately it came to nothing as the ship crashed in Casement park. If they match their peers in prepration they will be a serious threat to anyone.

Completely agree, well said, Our talent and depth isnt an issue. We need to accept the fact that our way of playing football just isnt what is required anymore.

Lads, can ye not see what Grimley is at here? His side were beaten by a team that no one expects to do anything this year. As manager, the buck stops with him. So whats the best thing to do? Distract everyone. Instead of having people come down on you like a tonne of bricks, go on the defensive. Claim mistreatment and bias in the media. All of a sudden instead of people acknowledging Grimley made a balls of the job at hand, instead its "poor Grimley being picked on by big bad Joe"
All feel sorry for Paul, sure its just not right......

He is only delighted. Now all of Armagh are behind him and sticking up for their man.....

Except that Paul Grimley held his hands up and made an unprecedented public apology, taking full reponsibility but explaining what they were attempting to do.
I've seen no signs of Grinley feeling sorry for himslef on the contary he's manned up and accepted it on the chin.
Incidentally Joe like his mate Spillane took this to be an apology to him personally and accepted graciously through Twitter.

You are right. He has admitted as such. What did his brothers have to do with last Sunday's game though?

I don't think that Brolly is a particularly good pundit. He is articulate and people mistake that for expertise. He praises guys one minute, slags them off the next, doesnt have a great track record when it comes to predictions and clearly takes pleasure in humiliating Gaa players and measure.Ignore the "Im only being honest",nonsense,he loves mocking people.
However I have to say that I find the recent criticism quite ironic.Brollys been spouting this poison at the likes of Kerry,Mayo and Cork for almost a decade, and all the Ulster Gaa people cheered him on in a 'You tell 'em Joe" kind of thing, but now hes getting criticized when he has a go at Grimley.Ironic.
Grimley didn't deserve what was said about him,but he did deserve to be criticized though.I mean seriously, you have to be very naïve to think that attractive football will win you games in the modern era.

Spot on Liam, but believe me - he doesn't have support of all of Armagh - some of us can't wait to see the back of him!
