and where did tyrone finish in the championship?
answer getting a hammering off kerry.
do you realy think tyrone having played division one this year are not a better team for it,I dont think if they meet kerry they would be on the end of that scoreline again thats for sure

It was like lambs to the slaughter yesterday, felt sorry for their players. The way Galway were set up yesterday they would have struggled to get a result against Leitrim. In this day it is hard to believe a team could be so naive and the blame has to go to the management. The amount of space on offer to the Mayo forward was ridiculous.

I would be amazed if Kevin Walsh didn't get the job for next season, got to laugh at people claiming a lack of talent in the county. They've won 2 U21's in 3 years so their's obviously talent their, it just needs someone with modern methods to take that talent to the next level.

That's why I said "for me" . The bookies will always back the big names Dublin , Cork, Kerry etc but for me this Mayo team are favourites. Great manager great players and no one will have the same hunger Mayo will have this year IMO.

That's fair enough and i'm sure you are one of many non-mayo fans that feels that way however you must not forget Galway made Mayo look very good yesterday Down did the same against them August. It's when they face Cork,Dublin,Donegal before we really know are they good enough to win the All Ireland.

They only lost to Donegal last year they bet Dublin out the gate my friend and the year before they bet Cork handy enough. This is no agenda from me I honestly think Mayo are the team to beat, obviously I hope I'm wrong but right now there my favourites.

Very true that, There is an all Ireland in that Mayo team, They just need to have the belief in themselves.. Wins like the win they produced yesterday will only make them more and more confident. I said in a thread of my own recently that if Dublin don't win sam, I'd love nothing more than to see Mayo win it.

Thought Galway played like a team in an Xbox game but controlled by someone playing Xbox for the first time...- what with some of their players kicking the ball straight to the opposition and other players inexplicably running away from the action when the wrong button was pressed leaving Mayo able to walk uncontested into the goal.

Same as that Waynol if Dublin don't win it I'd love to see Mayo do it.

hardly beat dublin out the gate considering they were hanging on desperatly at the end of the game.
they were beaten by donegal after 15 minutes also.
last year is last year they done as they were expected to do beat a side rated well below them.
the only thing they gained from yesterday is that they might finaly silence the doubters who say they have no forwards and found the net more times then they did in their previous 10 matches.

amazing how you say on the dublin thread that hammering westmeath will do dublin no good but yet for mayo will make them more and more confident.

Well buddy it wasn't a beating out the gate and since then Dublin have beaten Mayo twice with a bit to spare. I trust you are honest but i'd also say very few Dublin followers will see no one but themselves winning this years All Ireland.

You can't compare league football to an all Ireland semi final in all fairness, sorry I'll rephrase that; Mayo bet Dublin out the gate for 55 mins then we had a Little mini come back but Mayo won by 3 in the end. Mayo have no fear of Dublin they've proven that over the years we probably fear them more after what's happen in 06 and 12.

As the great Micko said, no one ever won Sam in the month of May.

I think most Dubs would replace the word fear with revenge for what happened in 2006,2012 and i don't think this current Dublin team do fear!

after all the reports I heard of galway in the challenge match against Dublin I really thought galway would give mayo a good test I was still going for mayo but I thought it would be close how wrong I was mayo got off to a great start put the pressure on and it was like seniors versus minors, experience on the day won galway were no match and the 2 sending off's showed how immature the side you can only play whats in front of you and fair play to mayo for the win but that will do nothing for them they would have learnt nothing from yesterday but on a lighter note it was good see moran back many a happy mayo face to see him back on the pitch....
