see this link the dubs are the form team no doubt but like i said no team are unbeatable in the championship and it would be great for Leinster football if another county won it this year i would suspect though the dubs would get back easily enough to the quarter/semi final stage of the all ireland even if they went into the Qualifiers.

dont agree with that article at all.
for one the same people were saying dublin relied to heavily on bernard brogan.
now they are complaining that the ball was not given to him enough!!!
you cant have it both ways when analysing a team,if anything the last day would have realy been what jim gavin wanted to see his other player stand up and take the scores and the iniatitive when the game mattered most and take the heat off brogan.

It will be a Laois Dublin final guys, and in all honesty, they are the best two teams in Leinster. I cannot understand how people say we have the easy side, Louth, Meath will be a test for us but I think we are a few steps above them. Dublin will play the winners of Kildare and Offaly and they are even matched and are 2 poor teams so the Dubs have nothing to fear... WestMeath could test the Dublin team a bit but they will have too much in the end. We are going well in training and can match the Dubs in every area. Dublins forwards are decent but if we can look after Bernard then thats a big part of the job, Quigley and Begley are as good as any midfield and I would much prefer them than McAuley. Our forwards will be key, Ross and MJ have the class, Big Red will play full forward and will cause all sorts of problems, there is yet a full back to get the better of him since he was switched from midfield, Billy will roam everywhere and set up plenty of scores. I have a lot of confidence in this Laois team, not much been made about them either which will suit us. LAOIS ABU.

I think laois will get to the final but think Louth will be a huge threat . They were best team we played in league . If we can win I think we will have no problems with wexford and Meath . Actually think longford might beat Meath

If this Laois team is so great why didn't they do anything in the league, ye are quite naïve if ye think ye are going to walk into a leinster final despite being on what is clearly the easier side of the draw, the 3 leinster teams who will be playing division 1 next year are on the other side. If Louth can play consistently unlike they did in the league they have huge potential and in my opinion are the best team on that side of the draw. Louth-Dublin final with Dublin to win

I do have to laugh at some lads on hear, one question why are meath such fav to reach final on our side of draw? Are the bookie's looking to give money away? And im not talking about a point or two in difference. On average meath are seven points ahead of laois, 13 louth, same wexford .
Hear is just one bookie's odds

Dublin 1/2

Kildare 4/1

Meath 7/1

Laois 16/1

Wexford 20/1

Westmeath 30/1

Louth 33/1

Longford 40/1

Offaly 90/1

Wicklow 150/1

Carlow 500/1

Never mind the odds, but dare I ask on what basis, or indeed timeframe Meath are on average seven points better than Laois and thirteen better than Wexford and Louth? Or are you just basing it on the bookies odds?

RD if you can find a bookies giving each way odds on the provincials be a doll and let us all know, pretty certain there's only outright markets available.

Sure didn't they have us and yourselves among the favourites to go down in the league.

Then again the league means nothing apparently...

I expect Louth to get to the final, they had a decent league and are hard to beat. Longford to beat Meath in the first round. Yes RD Longford lost every game. The first four games or so they only lost by a point or two. Against Wexford away in the first round of the league they were beaten by an injury time goal. It won't be a walk in the park for Meath against Longford at all. There will be a few surprises that side of the draw.

I think everyone on our side of the draw will rightly feel they can get to the final, and once there then anything can happen over 70 mins.
I think we under-performed in the league but still ended up in 3rd place. Having said that I wouldnt be overly confident of us getting to the final, it would be just like us to come unstuck somewhere along the road. Louth looked very good against us in the league, and i would expect them to be a mighty tough test. Wexford will be no push-overs either.
Then you got either Wicklow, Longford and Meath. I would think Longford will beat Wicklow (not sure where it is, if its in Aughrim it may change my opinion). Meath Longford will be a tough one to call but i would think Meath would be coming back to form.
It is a great chance for all 6 counties though!

If Kildare are going to win Leinster under McGeeney, this will be the year they should do it imo!

If in doubt, you're
From kildare, surely I dont have to explain common terminology used in the expression of bookie's odds???
Points are the difference in odds of opposing teams, horses etc, therefore when a bookie puts odds up the difference between said opponents is called points difference, now id I had used those odds above saying meath were a average of 9 points ahead of laois with pp, no doubt you would have been on saying that William hill has only seven between them or whoever, s and of course it be in bold writing. So I used the lowest points difference odds I have seen.
Is that clear enough???
Also you can get ew odds, to reach final etc. 1,2.

Ah would ya stop! 2009 or 2010 would have been much better opportunities. Dublin have pushed on a lot since then and we have at best stood still. Kildare would have to reach a level we haven't since Micko to do it this year. Maybe it could all fall right for us on the day, fair enough. There's the potential for one big performance from us but McGeeney would be the first to tell you that the worst description in terms of sports psychology that someone could use when describing you is that you have 'potential'. And I'm sure some would even disagree that we even have that!

I like the backdoor. It's a chance to get out and see the rest of the country rather than being stuck in the north inner city for every match. Sure aren't the media always telling us that the provincial championships mean nothing nowadays?

Don't mind anything the bookies say, they said Westmeath would be relegated, yet they finished ahead of meath, laois and wexford in the league but have less chance of winning Leinster? silly

think the interesting part of leinster this year is who will meet dublin the final, we all know that dublin will win it but hard to call who will make the final. I expect kildare to give them the tough game they need to go into the final prepared, hard to see anyone getting within 3 points of them.
