Louth to beat Dublin in the final with a late try by ROB kearney at the Hill 16 End and the 'goal' confirmed by Hawkeye after a 15 minute delay. Justice at last

I agree meath v louth and Dublin v kildare, would pack out Croke park. And would be great for competition, as someone who still holds the leinster championship in a high regard that would be fantastic to see.
Dublin I feel only chance of them maybe getting beat is in first game v Westmeath (who should get over carlow) catch but if they win that there will be no stopping them

I wouldn't rule out Laois...they pushed the dubs very close last year in croker with a bit of luck could have beaten them...they hammered Meath before that game...Yes Louth will fancy their chances the first day but the game is in portlaoise ..Laois will beat wexford then and set up a Semi with Longford or Meath who they should beat....

dublin are hot favs with Kildare having a chance to beat them and then becaom fav's but Laois if they can get over a hard opening game could be in the leinster final and look good!

Ah Royaldunne stop will you Westmeath won catch/beat Dublin in there first game out , no chance it's Never going to happen . Dublin's toughest game will be Kildare in the semi but I can't see them beating us were just too strong for them.

Won't catch/beat Dublin in Dublin's first game out.

I would agree with beir_bua's predictions to the letter. And RD, you hammered Kildare fans last summer for reading too much into a good showing in Div 2 and of course you turned out to be right as you frequently like to remind us. What is it that you think is so different about Westmeath getting promoted? And we lost to a team that got relegated? Dublin won Division 1.

Dublin will win Leinster - have no doubt about that.

They will play Laois. IMO the rest on that side of the draw are not good enough to keep it kicked out to the Dubs in the final.

Dh its nothing to do with Westmeath getting out of div 2.
Its more to do with meeting dub on day one they are playing, I feel it's the best time to play them. And opposition that to be honest they won't rate, let's be straight hear if it was meath or kildare they would be chomping at the bit, but i can't see the same v Westmeath, also Westmeath have found a few lads that just might have the the arrogance not to care about Dublin. Now if it was a semi or final meeting I wouldn't give them a chance, it could be anyone of 4 counties that are in that position, but it more than likely will be Westmeath, (cant see carlow) who knows dubs could do what they did to louth last year,

Big john, 3 points hardly hammered???
Add to that the six day turn around, and I don't think any meath fan would overly worry about laois, to be honest once we get over first game I think we will settle in, the one I would like to avoid is louth,

Funnily enough I don't think any Kildare fan would worry about Meath.

Not that we'll get to play each other anyways or anything.

Dub v Meath is still the big Leinster rivalry as meath are the only team to beat them in recent years. Kildare give them a game and it is always entertaining for the neutral but dublin always have too much on the day and win out. Dublin to beat meath in the final but there should be a few good games in leinster despite the obvious winner.

i can see where royaldunne is coming from westmeath if they get over carlow first will have had an outing under their belt while dublin on the other hand will have very little championship preparation for this match, the players are back with the clubs now and the club championship round will go ahead as planned over the next couple of weeks meaning they will have under two weeks training together as a panel for the match on june 1st,that to me would be a worry that they would not be ready to hit the ground running where as westmeath would im sure will be in peak fitness for june 1st as it will be like an all ireland final for them.

I think Kildare will put it up to Dublin.
Kildare V Dublin semi
Laois v Meath the other semi
Two good games for a double header in croke park and ill go for a
Kildare v Laois leinster final a repeat of 2003 final 10 years on but with hopefully a different end result.

Hill I don't care if Westmeath have ten games under there belt they won't beat us not a hope in hell.

Hill precisely, I think both kildare and meath would love to be in potentially Westmeath position, it swings it a little more to play a team who haven't been out in championship yet, that first game is always the one that unnerves me the most, kildare (although had game under belt) were similar last year, meath had 3 games played, fitness levels were very high and system of Reilly running from midfield was settled into, I still expect Dublin to win but it might not be as easy as it may appear on paper,

I remember similar sentiments being expressed in 2004, and indeed about Longford in the U21 game this year, never discount anything in Championship football
