Same price into Casement yesterday £20 €25 into stand and £12 €15 into terrace, no minor game either Down and Antrim in camogie that I'd say only about 100 went into watch it

You can just imagine the new Casement in a similar scenario, cavernous, devoid of atmosphere, a vanity project if ever there was one.

£20 into the stand is a joke. But, at Celtic Park the seated stand sold out days before the Derry/Down game so people are willing to pay that price it seems.

Yes, that is very true Brend. I feel sorry for those who paid £20 into the stand to watch that muck yesterday. A very poor advertisement for Ulster football, just glad it wasn't live on bbc or rte.

Casement re-development is a bad idea. First of, the locals don't want us. Secondly, it will be traffic chaos as most of Ulsters Gaels make their way up the M1 and pile into traffic log jams at stockman's lane. It's a bad idea and I really hope it falls a part.

I am surprised at the surprise on here at how poor a game it was yesterday. The keystone cop approach to Antrim football would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic. We were without our 3 best players due to Dawsons school teacher approach to management and yet he doesn't see the irony in bringing in a player to start who hasn't played Ulster Championship in 3 years. Furthermore, he also asked another player who turned up for the next training after being sent off for Antrim what he was doing there and basically told him he wasn't playing with a target man anymore but he would continue to monitor his league progress. Needless to say he got a short answer. At the end of the day while we have a board who will continue to make managerial appointments like the current one we will not go anywhere - not even downwards as I honestly don't think there is a team we can beat in the Qualifiers. I mean, to try and set your team up to be ultra defensive is OK if you know how to defend but it was obvious yesterday that the players were as confused as the rest of us as to what way they were to be playing. And to be a player up for 30 minutes of the game and not utilise your extra player isn't a good reflection on a manager.

On Monaghan, I would be surprised if they go much further as they are also a poor enough team. They should have been handing out one hell of a beating to that Antrim team instead of the 5 points which were in it. I know Monaghan hit 16 wides but Antrim had a load of wides too and should have raised the green flag when Niblock blasted over for our first point.

As for using this as a yard stick for the new Casement attendances that is just being ridiculous. 7713 attending a game between by far the lowest ranked team in Ulster and an average enough team was actually about 2713 more than I thought would go. When you compare this attendance yesterday to others games on and take the significance of the game then it wasn't really that bad. I mean, Munster hurling is a religion and the semi between Tipp and Limerick only had 17,000 at it and I am sure if you go through all the fixtures the attendances were low.

Woeful game yesterday, more like basketball really. Monaghan, who have serious designs on an Ulster final, with the likes of McManus, Freeman and Finlay among their ranks, should really have blown this Antrim team (devoid of their best players) away.

I suppose on the bright side, you have two of the lesser successful Ulster counties in Monaghan and Fermanagh in with a good chance of making an Ulster final.

Don't forget yourselves there slash. You all set for Sunday? Can i expect a big crowd of Cavan men in the roadhouse prior to throw in or will the G8 be turning them off attending?

We're not a lesser successful county gotmilk, thats why I deliberately left us out. It's hard to say what kind of Cavan crowd will travel, the game is televised I believe and with the traffic hassle of the G8, I'd imagine families will be swayed away from going. Nonetheless when we sniff blood Cavan fans travel well and Brewster has been kind to us in recent times. I'll be there anyway, looking forward to a good close game, hope to God we come out the right side of it.

Coming into work this morning traffic was non existant compared to other weeks. I'd imagine it will be busy enough but i don't think it will be as bad as everyone is making it out to be RHF

Ah very good slash. But sure in the last 15 years I don't think your senior sides have had to much to shout about

It prob wont be to bad but alot of people up here seem to have the opinion that it will be chaos trying to get in and are not going to travel. There are even rumours going about that the game could yet be moved to clones.

If it was going to be moved I think it would have been announced by now. I honestly don't think it will be as bad as people seem to think. Everything is worst case scenario.

From what i gather the protestors are going to be located the far side of Enniskillen out by the Rugby fields so they won't be near Brewster. Anyway so long as they don't get in my pre and post match rituals of pinting i don't mind what they do.

How you think it will go anyway RHF?

There's a lot of scare mongering going on through the media with regards the chaos this G8 nonsense is going to cause. Can't see it having any effect on the supporters traveling too and from the game on Sunday. It's a lame excuse for any supporter to say their not going to the game because of the G8.

On the game itself, it's a very difficult one to call a winner. Cavan beat a very average Armagh side, but they looked good in the process. Fermanagh are a really well managed and organised side, something Armagh weren't. They play a defensive system and the Cavan forwards won't get anywhere near the same space as they got v Armagh. I'm going to predict Fermanagh to win by 1-2 points. The bookies have Fermanagh at very generous odds of 11/8, certainly worth a punt.

I think Cavan have enough about them to win this one, although Fermanagh could be a surprise package this year, especially in the qualifiers. Cavan by 3.

1402707 Anyone tell me what the price was into Casement yesterday? It's 20 quid into the stand in Brewster on Sunday. Disgraceful considering there is no minor game on. Good to see that Enniskillen Gaels wont go bankrupt anytime soon.

Enskillen Gaels wont make money from the tickets themselves, that belongs to the Ulster council. In clones, the clones club run the shops and thats where they make there money. But ye are playing Cavan so I wouldnt like to dependant on a few euros from them lot! would be interesting to see the amount of stering to euro spent do!!
I think having already played a game this year will help cavan a little bit and they will win by 3. Cant see monaghan beating them either but would be great to see cavan monaghan in clones again

I'm banking on Fermanagh and Cavan to put on a decent show on Sunday.

Good job the G8 wasn't staged in Belfast last weekend in that case!

One Ulster Championship in the past 33 years would suggest otherwise.

Cavan have been one of the lesser teams in
Ulster particularly since the backdoor. Great history and all the rest but by an large an irrelevance in modern times. Promising signs with the U-21's though.
