Best of luck to Cork hurlers on Sunday and hopefully a decent crowd will attend, despite the clash with the football. Best of luck to the footballers too. It's a significant step up, despite Tipperary's relatively poor performances in 1A. They could be coming into form so Cork will need to up their game. It's a great opportunity to impress for players such as Eoin Keane, Killian Burke, Paul Haughney, Alan Cadogan and Damian Cahalane, who are still new to the inter-county scene.Cork have been forced to make a number of changes due to injury so hopefully this won't have an unsettling influence on the team overall.

Team played well against Tipp. I thought Damian Cahalane did well, and gave indications that he will grow into the full back position. He has the physique and hurling to do it. My team for championship is
Nash, O'Neill.Cahalane, Conor O'Sullivan, William Egan, Joyce, McDonnell, McLoughlin,Kearney,Harnedy,Walsh,Lehane,Horgan,Cronin,Alan Cadogan.

Surely its a bit of a surprise that Stephen White was dropped from the panel?

That a really strong forward line but from defence and midfield point of view it doesn't look as good. Maybe switch Walsh to 8 lehane to 10 and sullie at 13 would work well.

Good changes there disillusiondfan, I think this might not be far off our starting 15 Sunday week against Waterford, can't wait to head to Thurlas. Reports that Mark Ellis will start and Eoin Cadogan will make the bench.

2 - S.O Neill
3 - D.Cahalane
4 - C.O Sullivan
5 - L.McLoughan
6 - C. Joyce
7 - M.Ellis

10 - C.Lehane
11 - S.Harndey

I believe Ellis will start but Cadogan injured, pity as we need him in our weakest line which could be in serious trouble due to lack of pace.As we saw in September when our fullback line was under siege from outfield players who were allowed to run through almost unchallenged,if this problem is rectified this team looks like a serious outfit.Corcaigh Abu.

What is the story with Cork wearing the tipp colours? Is it to trick the cats or make the cork players think they are playing for tipp!

Just passing by but was at All Ireland C colleges final recently between SMGS Blarney and Roscommon CBS. Very good game which Blarney won by two points( deservedly). Just was noting the Blarney midfielder( Mark Coleman). Some player ye have there for the future. Is he on the Cork Senior panel or u-21s? Very impressive hurler and should light up the Munster Championship some year and go on to great things.

It's sad to see Cork on such a low ebb at the minute, I won't insult your intelligence by saying otherwise.

From the outside looking in it looks like the schools teams have been poor for awhile with the exception of Rochestown. I remember when St Colmans were the big team in Harty Cup hurling but I haven't heard their name as a contender in over 10 years.

Is rugby pulling kids away from Cork hurling? Sweetnam is the obvious name to spring to mind there.

Anyway Cork is a great sporting county full stop and I hope you will all think that this is cyclical and that things will eventually turn around if you hang in there now.

Hurling needs a strong Cork team.

Congrats to Cork on great win v Dublin last Saturday. Happened to be in the lovely city of Cork for the weekend. Was totally taken back by some of the " vile" of some Cork supporters ( and I use the term some supporters lightly ) towards the Dublin team, and I witnessed more even while they were getting on their coach, while I was walking my dog later.
I remember being in Thurles many years ago, when the great Jimmy Barry Murphy, Ray Cummins were playing and the great banter between fans.
Ireland soccer fans are getting an award shortly, would some of these "fans" not take notice and behave.
The vast majority of Cork fans love the game of hurling, and it's a pity a few try to spoil it.
Wishing Cork all the best in the Qualifers, and maybe we will meet you later on in the Championship.
