As I limerick man delighted to meet ye in Gaelic grounds in 3 weeks. Good open hurling today but I have been saying for 2 years Davy fitz tactics will beat all weaker teams will will be lost against playing clever hurling leading to long range points.
Have to say I have backed JBM in releasing cusack, gardiner and o Hailpin.
Cusack no issue with him but from JBM point of view it would be hard for any keeper to play well with cusack on bench as he was a crowd favourite and they would be clamouring for him after every mistake.
Gardiner just went stale and I believe JBM needed a fresh approach completely
O hAILPIN , legs were gone for 3/4 matches on the trot. I think he needs to step back completely. Some of the stuff in the sunday indo was sad in his interview.I live on Cork border (near newtown) and nobody on the cork side wants to hear the word strike mentioned. The guy is paranoid about the strikes ,Sean Og it is over. His mention of players coming in from places he had n`t heard of smacked of contemt
In fairness to Cusack he took his pill and swallowed it but Gardiner and o hailpin over the weekend on RTE and the Indo respectively nedd to move on.

I would like to ask those 2 were they treated worse than Gerald Mccarthy

westtrooper The strike is history and all we want to talk about is hurling. We are of course delighted to be in Munster Final but we need to be realistic, Clare created 6 goal chances today we created 1. If we replicate that against ye in Munster Final we will be hammered. All in all we are both relieved and delighted to night and looking forward to a great game in 3 weeks. We have great respect for Limerick hurling and for Limerick supporters, we'd love to beat ye but if we don't we will be happy to see ye back as Provincial Champions. The game has been stifled for past 6 or 7 years it needs new teams & players to break through, a resurgent Limerick would be a tonic for hurling.

good to see jamie coughlan back for cork, he is an excellent corner forward and cork will need his pace and scores whilst they are without paudie o'sullivan. i have a lot of respect for sean og but i heard some comments he made in the build up to the game yesterday which i think are ridiculous. He was critisizing jbm team selection saying he picked the wrong team because he picked players from clubs he hasnt heard of, in reference to seamus harnedy of st.itas. i dint know what cork people think of this but i think that if a player is good enough he should be selected no matter if he was playing for the best senior club in the county or a junior team. harnedy justified his position with a man of the match performance.

Ridiculous the amount of people who wrote Cork off!

Probably favourites now to win Munster. Funny old game

What is ticket demand like in Cork for Munster final? Limerick is way short of demand for Stand tickets.

The referee on sunday must have been the worst ive ever seen...the number 2 for limerick ran over the back of the cork player 3 times in less than 5 mins not even ticked...sending off neither him nor linesmen saw it .shocking...ruined a good game of hurling.. did he not hear yhe fans. The booing was right should .must learn rules before you ref

had Cork 16 players on the field Limerick would still have won
Cork are a shadow of Cork teams of the past they lack leadership
and real quality players like`John Fenton Ben o Connor just to
mention a few not sure where they go from here cant see them
spilling the Cats milk

Hear now boyin, will you go away and ate some humble pie,, Limerick won end of story- And going back to the "ref learning the rules" ---Ref was correct in the sending off going by playing rules-- which in fairness was very harsh but there is a difference between harsh and correct!!

As a Limerick Man i hope that Cork can beat the Cats this weekend. Lets do it all again 15 against 15 in the even bigger stage. I think if your guys are mentally right for this game, they can beat the Cats. Best of luck to the rebels and hope to meet again on the 8th of September.

sorry guys i hadnt factored in the harsh red card in the first half. i was saying that kilkenny would have won had it been 15 against 15 for the 70 mins. as ye know only too well in cork after the munster final, playing a full half with a man less is almost an impossible mission in the modern game. i know cork were winning up to that point anyway, but kilkenny are not a great team for nothing, they would not have lied down in the second half and if that penalty had been scored it would have been a different game. easy for ye to be so intelligent in hindsight

Now now "hurlingexpert", you are digging a bigger hole for yourself.....your initial message stated KK WOULD beat
Cork & Limerick....a definate statement of fact according to you! You then mess up your apology with "If's"....
If you insist upon making predictions then you should follow up by saying BUT....I may be WRONG if certain things
happen on the field of play on the day!!! hurlingexpert indeed!
