As I limerick man delighted to meet ye in Gaelic grounds in 3 weeks. Good open hurling today but I have been saying for 2 years Davy fitz tactics will beat all weaker teams will will be lost against playing clever hurling leading to long range points. westtrooper (Limerick) - Posts: 329 - 23/06/2013 21:13:28 1413724 Link 0 |
westtrooper The strike is history and all we want to talk about is hurling. We are of course delighted to be in Munster Final but we need to be realistic, Clare created 6 goal chances today we created 1. If we replicate that against ye in Munster Final we will be hammered. All in all we are both relieved and delighted to night and looking forward to a great game in 3 weeks. We have great respect for Limerick hurling and for Limerick supporters, we'd love to beat ye but if we don't we will be happy to see ye back as Provincial Champions. The game has been stifled for past 6 or 7 years it needs new teams & players to break through, a resurgent Limerick would be a tonic for hurling. corkcelt (Cork) - Posts: 4388 - 23/06/2013 22:03:59 1413849 Link 0 |
good to see jamie coughlan back for cork, he is an excellent corner forward and cork will need his pace and scores whilst they are without paudie o'sullivan. i have a lot of respect for sean og but i heard some comments he made in the build up to the game yesterday which i think are ridiculous. He was critisizing jbm team selection saying he picked the wrong team because he picked players from clubs he hasnt heard of, in reference to seamus harnedy of st.itas. i dint know what cork people think of this but i think that if a player is good enough he should be selected no matter if he was playing for the best senior club in the county or a junior team. harnedy justified his position with a man of the match performance. hurlingexpert (Clare) - Posts: 1941 - 24/06/2013 16:05:53 1414460 Link 0 |
Ridiculous the amount of people who wrote Cork off! Brianmac78 (Dublin) - Posts: 1168 - 24/06/2013 17:50:34 1414594 Link 0 |

This year the league between 1a and 1b going by the punditsif u were in 1b u would have no chance.it just goes to show the llimerick win was not a fluke.Limerick lost 1b final and are now in Munster final.dub winning 1b beat km last night and cork on the way down to 1b all so in Munster final.its just goes to show if u work hard u can do well in champ no matter what league or in.will tipp beat OK next sat night oll (Limerick) - Posts: 693 - 30/06/2013 11:28:59 1418812 Link 0 |

The referee on sunday must have been the worst ive ever seen...the number 2 for limerick ran over the back of the cork player 3 times in less than 5 mins not even ticked...sending off neither him nor linesmen saw it .shocking...ruined a good game of hurling.. did he not hear yhe fans. The booing was right should .must learn rules before you ref pearse9 (Cork) - Posts: 136 - 15/07/2013 11:16:40 1431824 Link 0 |

As a Limerick Man i hope that Cork can beat the Cats this weekend. Lets do it all again 15 against 15 in the even bigger stage. I think if your guys are mentally right for this game, they can beat the Cats. Best of luck to the rebels and hope to meet again on the 8th of September. sorry guys i hadnt factored in the harsh red card in the first half. i was saying that kilkenny would have won had it been 15 against 15 for the 70 mins. as ye know only too well in cork after the munster final, playing a full half with a man less is almost an impossible mission in the modern game. i know cork were winning up to that point anyway, but kilkenny are not a great team for nothing, they would not have lied down in the second half and if that penalty had been scored it would have been a different game. easy for ye to be so intelligent in hindsight hurlingexpert (Clare) - Posts: 1941 - 01/08/2013 09:31:33 1449384 Link 0 |
