He has still got it and we saw two of the finest points you could ever wish to see when it mattered in a tight game.

Ridiculous points at the weekend. The audacity to even try them. The first one was the pick of the bunch for me, one of the bets scores I've ever seen.

Class act.

The thing about Stephen's 2 points yesterday was how unsurprised I was that he scored!

When a player like Stephen scores 2 beauties it can take a moment to sink in just what he's done.

I remember another class point against us in the league in Croker in 2009 I think. He was right at the end line down the Canal end Cusack stand side and he defied all known laws of Physics to put it over under pressure with his left in step.

No matter what your county allegiance you just have to sit back and glory in the ability of players such as Stephen.

An absolute joy to watch.

1367941 Sublime scores and top class player. Wish he was born in my own county.
our only claim is that stephen's uncle john worked in mayo and was heavily involved with with ballyhauinis gaa in the 70s and 80s.

Sorry Beal, but that claim has as much credibility as Ireland thinking Tom Cruise is one of us:o)

A pleasure to see O'Neill in action yesterday particularly the point from the left which he curled in with the outside of his left boot. I was right behind him as he took aim and the target was very small .... sublimely executed ... magical moment. Was also impressed by Mannion of Dublin

Absolute class, 3 of the best points I've ever seen. Him and Neil Magee was right in front of me in the league game and I've never seen a player run so much off the ball to give his mid fielders etc options. To say he was a handful to Mark is an understatement.

It's nice to read a thread where everyone is agreed on and there is no rubbish just complete enjoyment of the game, the way it should be. For that alone, thanks s o'niell, but feel free to leave your A-game at home on the 26th of may.
