There is a big difference between mouthing a few unpleasentries and a mouthful of spit. I have a lot of friends from the north and regularly meet up
for matches and they never take offence to any slagging etc. But it seems different for the players on the pitch. Its a well known fact that country players were always slagged off by the city boys about smelling of cowsh------e.pigs etc. They got over it but spitting is a totally different matter. While i dont know Paul Galvin personally i have met him on occasions and he was always pleasant and willing to discuss the game of the day.He deserves better even from Tyrone people.

Could a statement be any more general than that I ask you, get a grip lad and stop wasting ours, and your time on nonsensical statements like this. Like (most) of the Kerry lads before you have said, move along, theres nothing more to see here.

The only reason i said [even from Tyrone people] was to do with the history between them at both club and county in the last ten years. Its now time
for the Tyrone supporters and players , both club and county, to leave all the crass and crap behaviour behind them and move on. This not only discredits Tyrone
GAA but all GAA.

Of course keelman you just don't mean Tyrone, you mean EVERY county, isn't that right?

Yes i mean all counties but highlighted Tyrone because of the ongoing controversy. All counties have their looney supporters even my own.

Feel sorry for Paul Galvin. The man has got so much stick over the years for silly things. Well one things for sure he's a hero of the GAA and one of the greatest ever players i've ever seen. Watching him and Kerry play in the 00's has been a joy! Then Talk about sinking the boot into him when he's down, spat on and losing the AI club final. Low act from the opposing player and for the other sticking up for him... Enough said about that!

1. if paul galvin had done the spitting what would all ye be saying?
2. what would the so called experts be saying?
3. why does no one want to answer these questions?

1. I'd be saying, "Goodness, Galvin shouldn't have done that, now."
2. The experts would be saying "That's pretty bad form, now, he shouldn't have done that."
3. Because they are the same question, just directed a two different groups of people. Try just asking the question to 1 group of people, and see how you get on.

The so called experts would be saying a lot more then that if it was paul galvin and would be saying a lot worse then that.

Some Kerry posters are commenting as if Cookstown were the sole perpetrators of any dark arts that went on when in effect there are two sides to every story. Any fair and above board investigation just might stop some of these people in their tracks as they may actually get what they wish for and could be left with egg on their faces. Indeed the Kerry 'great one' Spillane himself stated at the weekend he was taking no sides between Finuge and Cookstown and that he himself had heard that a lot of slagging and things were said during the game. Paul Galvin is a very good footballer and an independent mind but he is really in no position nor are his defenders to point fingers or lecture others about their on field behaviour. The stench of hypocrisy that eminates from Kerry and the 26 county media is extremely overpowering at times.

Is it just me or does Michael Lyster not look too well at the minute? He has looked very grey, older and tired on the TV recently. I hope he is well as he is a very good presenter.

this post is about the spitting that took place, read the post headline before you comment on it.

what paul galvin did in the past has absolutely nothing to do what happened in that game.

going by what you are saying its ok to spit on anyone who has been send off in the past.

Ulsterman, you have listed spitting in somebodies face as part of gaa 'dark arts'. It isnt. It is just a disgusting act, that is indefensible as a reaction to anything that can be spoken in this context. This guy isnt the victim here, end of story.
