I'm surprised to see they are only expecting 60,000 tonight. I know we (Cork) are a complete disaster and there will probably only be a few thousand of us the there but not so long ago the Dubs would have filled Croke Park on their own for a glamour tie like this on their own. I'd be expecting 25-30k of tonight's attendance will be Monaghan Tyrone fans too.

Was talking to a Monaghan friend last night and she said there were no tickets to be had around those parts, yet they are still on-line! I wonder will the online sellers have All Ireland tickets before the clubs this year??

62,000 for the semi today and 70k expected for next sunday. The GAA is alive and well and this the biggest recession we've ever had. I can't wait till people get money back in their pockets, will be seeing sellout's for semi's when they do.

I would have went to both if the GAA had a ticket for both semi's or something. I find it hard to justify 40 euro today and again next week, so will probably go to neither!

Your loss Pinkie. Not related to you but I love how some people pay good money for that 90 minute borefest with 1 score and pass up on matches likes these that are only 35€ plus kids at a fiver each. Pinkie they were offering tickets for both hurling semi's and the 2 quarters for 80€ but they sold out and 140€ for all them plus the 4 football quarters and the 2 football semi's. Serious value.

62,000 at the hurling semi-final last Sunday. Wonder what it will be for Clare v Limerick?

65,000 would be an immense crowd if they got, we haven't seen semi-final attendances like these for nearly 10 years

Have posting hours on the forum changed?

I believe from years of running with and dealing with group ticket deals no one should get anything for nothing even a nominal €1 euro charge. However groups and multi-person deals should be made much more available and a family package deal wouldn't go amiss.
Understandably Croke Park Semi-Final's and Finals in Football are very hard to get good deals and Juveniles usually lose out. In Hurling at Croke Park its really only the championship final you have difficulty.

But the club and group deals for juveniles and mentors are terrific, last weekend it was 1 adult ticket free with 20 kids - kids were €3 each or 10 Kids €5 with 1 adult free.
Clubs also do there own deals and in my experience if you do have a large group ring up and they will do a deal.
But if kids are going to be let in for free remember they usually spend their pocket money in the stadium.

However girls are the best, if I had my way there would be shopping malls under the stands, GAA would clean up. Just look at what the Pink jerseys has done for jersey sales.

Any word on the Crowd heading up tomorrow? There are talks of 70,000 but 60,000 looks a bit more realistic especially at €40 a ticket. The Gaa will be making more money of tickets than many premier league clubs for the next few weeks!!!

And 85% of it finds it's way back down to grassroots level. Can you say the same for premier league clubs?
