14,000 given out as official attendance in Sathill. Am I seeing double vision? I thought there was a biggest crowd than that. Official capacity of Salthill is over 30,000, I struggle to see where we would have put another 15,000 there today. ahsure. (Galway) - Posts: 1779 - 19/05/2013 21:10:38 1386870 Link 0 |

ahsure I agree. I think there was at least 20,000 there. Mayo fans also seemed to outnumber the Galway fans again. The roar when Andy Moran came on was the biggest of the day. It was perfect conditions for football yesterday too with no sun or wind. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 12127 - 20/05/2013 09:35:31 1386973 Link 0 |

Looked a lot more, stand was almost full and far side was packed aswell. They even had to delay throw in, albeit that was due to only having 1 ticket van waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13659 - 20/05/2013 19:13:12 1387713 Link 0 |

weird that they had to delay the match when only 3 thousand at it,did nobody have their ticket already before the day of the match surely only a few hundred would have bought tickets outside the ground. hill16no1man (Dublin) - Posts: 12665 - 20/05/2013 19:20:38 1387721 Link 0 |

Very poor attendances in the 2 munster games involving Kerry and Cork. waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13659 - 26/05/2013 16:44:43 1391532 Link 0 |

I don't think any other county in Ireland would get a good attendance to a provincial first round against either Limerick or Tipperary. These teams will have to improve big time if the GAA want Munster attendances to improve. Would you say there have been years where one single game in Leinster had more at it than the whole munster football championship?
