There will be a big crowd in Healy Park, Omagh this weekend. A dress rehearsal for the big Championship this summer in Ballybofey.

Basically i'm singing from the same hymmsheet as HurlingDub. The atmosphere for the hurling games in Croker is decent towards the end. However, up to that point you can fully hear the lads talking on the pitch the place is that empty. I think an empty stadium changes the complexity of games and we're at a disadvantage because of it.

1-2,000 in the Nell is 10 times better than 4-5,000 in Croker in my view.

Newbridge is a sell-out. Limited to 6,200 or thereabouts. Should be comfortable enough but still a decent atmosphere.

there was only about 4-5 thousand in for the donegal v kildare match the last day and was good atmosphere for it i thaught.
id say there will be at least 10 thousand in for the hurling v limerick as the kids will all be brought early

Its hard to judge watching the game on TV as to how may were in Parnell Park, however the Stand looked about a quarter full ( everyone looked perished with the cold) - so I would hazard a guess a 800 - 1000
Was in DCP for the Carlow /Wexford game - very healthy attendance, but in particular from a Carlow perspective - Footballlers would traditionally have a bigger following ( more from the town) so it looks like these higher profile games are attracting more to DCP. Great game by the way - nothing in it til last minutes - attendance was probably around the 1000 mark ( very few from Wexford)

How do we think the single game in Croke Park go with no hurlers playing. I would expect around 25,000 for it at least anything better would be fairly good. The Kildare game on the sunday should sell out fairly easy id say with only 6,200 allowed in.It would be very disapointing if it didnt sell out especially with Kildare having very few games in newbridge for the year.Would also expect a big crowd in Omagh with two well supported teams i wouldnt be suprised to see 15,000 there but it will probably be closer to 10 or 12 thousand

that was a false attendance last night at croker,as was a nearly identical crowd to the first night against cork, with the exception of about 2 thousand less in the hoganstand id say was more like 25 or 26 thousand at it,when you consider they said 4 thousand for parnell last saturday night haha and was no where near that.
i think they need new batteries in the calculators haha

Omagh looked like there was a good crowd. Any word on how many at Healy Park?

Roughly 9,000. At that rate Ballybofey's capacity of 18,000 will be more than enough.

9000 for the league, I thought there would have broken the 10k mark alight given Donegal brought the bones of 40k to Croke Park for a semi with Cork. The bandwagon contingent will be back for the summer though I reckon they could fill easily Clones for championship. If Tyrone continue to show good form in the league then it would make tickets difficult to come by even for Clones. The is the way I see it anyway, In saying that it would be harsh to take home advantage away from Donegal regardless.

With the form Tyrone are showing at the moment Donegal would be mad to give up home advantage to accomodate the fair weather supporters from both counties who wouldn't travel to Omagh.

Besides which the game is live on T.V. which will take pressure off.

Good point,
This where the season ticket is of benefit, at least ye dont have to worry about a fairweather supporter getting a ticket ahead of you , come championship.

Well Said AthCliath.

Does the season ticket guaratee an All Ireland final ticket if you have attended over the 60% of all matches?
