1336655 Snapper, much like the way say England/France should win every Rugby World Cup? Russia should win every European Championships? Antrim should win every Ulster title going???
That kinda way??
Antrim more or less do win every Ulster title in Hurling, Id imagine there is a bigger football playing population in Tyrone than Antrim. And a bigger rugby playing population in NZ than either you mentioned, the same way Dublin football population is massively higher than anywhere else in the country, in this sense you guys are massive underachievers

clondalkindub Snapper why don't Galway win Connaught ever year? Why don't Cork win Munster every year? Why don't Antrim win Ulster every year so cause there populations are way bigger than every other county in there province? No doubt are pop is an advantage but that doesn't mean we should win Sam every year as someone said earlier it's still 15 v 15
Ah yes the old 15 v 15 bit. If it matters that little then stop all the investment and give the rest of us all that cash. Shouldnt make a difference right? 15 v 15, right?

As u on on this thread: Did you come up with that figure for the costs of Dublin Seniors yet ( remember you specified it was less than 275,000).

WEE beat Kilkenny by 50 points last year with a very average team......... its very hard to commit lads at this time of year to put in a very serious effort when they know that they will be well beaten in Round One. Time to put best 4 into Q/F and run a round robin to find out who will play them in Q/F.

themaster playing the poor card is getting tiresome
Fact remains Mayo have spent millions themselves.
So much so that you find yourselves crippled by debt and probably will be for the forseeable future thus creating a major problem in investing further into your structures.
You had a chance to invest in underage yourselves with said millions - similar to the structures put in place by Dublin GAA.
You didnt do that. You could have dont that but instead you are now paying back interest rates with Mayo CB revenue.
Is that not true?
Dublin has a major sponsor and we're capable of raising large funds aside from said sponsorship.
Why should we share our revenue with CB's who have spent way above their mean's, invested unwisely and now find themselves in debt?
It's important to note
The GAA have stated themselves that CB's have to address their own problems and that they wouldnt be bailing out faulty CB's
But from my reading... you expect Dublin to share our own hard earned revenue?
It's not our fault that many CB's find themselves in massive trouble. If the GAA will not bail out said CB's... why should Dublin?

Dublin bring in more money than other counties. Therefore they have an advantage....yes ...... TheMaster is right!
Now Real Madrid have more cash than most in soccer....but they don't win the Champions League every year.
Kilkenny haven't the resources Dublin have.....they are pretty decent at the aul hurling.
Dublin wasted monies for years, hence the poor results. The county board have pumped millions into underage and development panels as they noticed that underage success helped senior success.
So Dublin look in a healthy place
Ive answered this before. Its all relative.....if you have a smaller budget you probably have less teams to invest in.
Dublin compete in two codes, have more clubs than other counties, more development panels etc etc.
Smaller counties need to maximise their budgets. A bigger budget with more bills....that's Dublins problem.
However I do feel the result against Carlow is not what most people want to see. I was shocked hearing that scoreline this morning. The GAA need to help Carlow out in some way, there should not be that distance between teams in what is supposed to be an elite grade competition. Its not what I want to see in a championship game.

Don't feel picked on Liam, he's not overly enamoured with Donegal either. Any other county feel the wrath of the Master?

Sure all right, as we know it was around €1.3m that Dubs spent on their Seniors & Kildare 275 and he accuses Ke of overspending ???????????????????????

Next up for Dublin are Longford. Longford won the minor Leinster 3 years ago after taking a awful happering in the first round. This year after Christmas they won the Hasting Cup, now they may not beat the Dubs. But they have some very good footballers on board and a clever back room team. I dont know when or where the game is being played, but it will a lot closer than last nights effort.

It should be viewed as a result Dublin learned little from, nothing more, nothing less.
Longford should be a better test.
Also the clowns beating the drums jeering the Carlow players whilst losing by a cricket score should be ashamed of themselves! I've seen Dublin teams take severe hammerings over the years and there is a right way to win as well as lose.

Someone from Carlow should come out with atatement after defeat like that. Yes Dublin have fine talent and will blow most teams away in Leinster however a defeat like that shouldn't happen at any grade.

seany16 Was at minor match last year against longford and we were way too strong for them, thats not to say their 21s this year arent a lot better.ye never know. agree about carlow match, i actually feel for the carlow lads not nice seeing it happen to anyone, though for a Dub its exciting to be able to watch these young lads at the moment, when we win nothing we are told we are underachieving for our size. when we put time and effort into hard training and start producing good underage teams, we are slated for population size. Carlow only lost by a point to us in 2010 when we won the allireland. they treated this competition badly this year , no manager in place for a while and little training before christmas. we can only go about our job.
